June 26, 200619 yr This is the same problem with the 'Now' Cds - most of the songs are too old by now.
June 26, 200619 yr Hmmm mixed selection. I dont bother with the compilations much anymore - only get the Nows if they're really good.
June 26, 200619 yr Author And Natasha B from 2004 but I'll make an exception for that being a hit in the US this year lol!
June 27, 200619 yr Summer Hits 06, Sony BMG/Warner rejuvinate the 'Hits' compilation series I dont see how the series is rejuvinated? very similar to the last one essential hits but with one less disc!!! thought they would be all 3 discers from now on!!!! :arrr:

June 27, 200619 yr Author I dont see how the series is rejuvinated? very similar to the last one essential hits but with one less disc!!! thought they would be all 3 discers from now on!!!! :arrr: They're always trying to reinvent it and keep flopping...I don't think Essential Hits even made the compilation chart top 20 which is a shame as it was very good :-( The one before that-Red Hot Hits also flopped
June 27, 200619 yr Author Apparently not in the midweek top 10 of the compilation chart-they'll give up soon which is a shame because the Now compilations are the only ones that seem to mix genres nowadays. Smash Hits/TOTP albums etc...have disappeared due to low sales too...
June 27, 200619 yr If Shakira and Nelly are not here it might mean that they're going to be on Now 64. Some time ago I've been told that Now That's What I Call Music! people bought the rights on some of the HITS series' artists, and that's why Nows include Sony/BMG acts like Kelly Clarkson, Will Young or Westlife now-a-days (they didn't use to be included before).

Well thats a good thing I suppose-now we truly do get ALL of the biggest hits on the now albums...no wonder Hits are faltering now...
June 27, 200619 yr ALL THESE HITS,NOW ALBUMS ETC COVER THE SAME GROUND,,,but if you dont buy singles they are a great buy,,i buy alot of singles myself so i never buy any of these kinda albums
