LOL I thought there must be something wrong when you said it was one of your favs?

You missed Love & Monters? Keep it that way :)

Oh I have seen it, back when it was first screened. I remember not thinking much of it, but didn't have much to compare it to at that time.

I remember quite liking it,
Apparently

Liz Ten, Van Gogh and Churchill are all in the finale!

Rory

too.

Dr Who Rule 127:

In this 21st century revival, remember to include the following in the season finale:

Amazing first part to the finalé. The only downside was the whole alliance of the Doctor's enemies. Amy's death scene was really emotional, and I can't wait to see where River Song has landed! :o 10/10.
hmmm... personally I can't see a way out :heehee: looks like the kitchen sink won. I shall comment next week when the 2 parter is resolved. It was dodgy in places. I shrieked when the skull fell out of the cyberman  I didn't see that coming.
Amazing episode but it's clearly not the last we've seen of Amy and River. River can't die now as she's alive in the future and I just think Amy is still alive.

didnt like the initial premis of getting all the doctors enemies together...

... but

... it worked! so far its sober ant imho tackled a dodgy premis very well... i enjoyed it, time and space scenes, shocks, loads of storylines... i give it a massive

Well that was rather good, after last week's throwaway CBBC episode.

I also love that there is no trailer for next week's episode.

Some slow and slightly silly bits (i.e. the inclusion of "the kitchen sink") with the set up, but I love how it has ended, whilst making those people moaning about certain continuity errors throughout the series looking silly, because they were purposely set up for this series' arc finale.

8/10

What a brilliant episode!

Loved the whole premise of his old enemies, although I cant see how they'll get out of this, surely a shock awaits though :D

Only caught bits and pieces of it and planning on watching it in full later but from what I saw it was actually fairly brilliant, and i've been less than complimentary about some episodes this year. Gotta agree with the throwing the kitchen sink at it though, there is a tendency to do that with season's finale in Doctor Who, in previous years it's been bringing back all the old companions but this year all the monsters/aliens etc.

Absolutley brilliant.

The only downside I see is in the alliance, because let's face it, the Daleks would never ally with anyone no matter how at threat they are :heehee:

Enjoyed the episode - especially how the enemies teamed up against the doctor - seems like such a simple idea you wonder why it took 47 years to realise ...

Kudos to thisispop about the kitchen sink - just a personal gripe about the new series - how it seems that it must end with the absolute end of the doctor/the earth/the universe/reality/past/present/future/James Corden.

Another gripe is the killing of Amy. This should be incredibly emotional and yet I watched and thought, 'Yeah right!' (and I avoid all spoilers and have no idea if Amy

has been killed off or not). The reason being is I felt this way is the number of times where a character has been written out or killed off with the promise they will never, ever, ever be back and then ... voila! Here they are again ... Rose Tyler, Cpt Jack Harkness, Donna, Alternative Universe, Rory .... It's like wrestling retirement stories ... the first one you watch has a lot of impact and the more wrestlers break their retirement vow and return the less impact a future retirement story has ... can't believe I'm mixing Dr Who with wrestling!

Absolutley brilliant.

... and im guessing that thats where the alliance will fall down.

Isn't Amy confirmed for Series 6? So she's probably still alive
Isn't Amy confirmed for Series 6? So she's probably still alive

Amy is confirmed i think.

BRILLIANT episode. I'm waiting to see where it falls into place because that's the best bit - I want to see all the little clues dropped throughout the series coming out in the next episode.

I LOVED that the Doctor was talking about this myth, this legend that was the Pandorica and how it had in it the one thing everyone was terrified of - and it was HIM. Genius. I felt absolutely zero emotion when Amy was killed because as usual, she'll be back.

And we know she's confirmed for next series anyway.

Amy dead, River about to be blasted to bits along with the Tardis, the Doctor inside the Pandorica, and ALL of his enemies (the ones he's spent 40+ years defeating individually) makes for an amazing finale episode. Here's to Rose and the other Doctor turning up to save the day :heehee:

I don't know whether this is a known thing but on Wikipedia it says

the little girl who plays Amelia (young Amy) stars in the final episode

. Looks like history might have to be entirely rewritten or some such? :o
