October 24, 200915 yr FIO down 12 places to #27, Wordshaker down 55 places to #91 in Ireland. What the fuck. :| Good grief! At least they're holding up a lot better in the UK. I think Forever Is Over won't drop below the top 15 this week, it's got two versions charting on iTunes and its physical sales and Amazon sales aren't holding up too badly either.
October 24, 200915 yr Hope so too! One of the forum's Irish members said FIO has had poor promotion and not much airplay in Ireland so that could be the reason to why its freefalling. If that turns around there's a possibility it could recover though!
October 25, 200915 yr They're becoming a lot more consistant on iTunes now, hopefuly this carries on so FIO can have a decent run. Now #19 on UK iTunes and #32 on Irish iTunes. :D
October 25, 200915 yr Author Oh dear god at this fall in the Irish charts. It is starting to become stable again in the UK I-Tunes like you said, has been hanging around the 18-20 mark for a day or so now.
October 25, 200915 yr Author #14 in its 3rd week. Hopefully it wont fall much further than #25ish next week?
October 25, 200915 yr ^ Yay, it stuck top 15 as I predicted! :cheer: I don't think it'll that much by the looks of things on iTunes etc it could only drop two or three places next week, hopefuly they maintain that and not just randomly freefall again! :drama:
October 25, 200915 yr Airplay is excellent at the moment, only dropped 1 place on radio airplay 10-11. And up 1 place on TV airplay 10-9 = a new peak! :D
October 26, 200915 yr I've really started loving this song over the past day or so, after not being fussed for the past couple of months.
October 26, 200915 yr I don't get why people are whining, its their highest peaking proper single.. A number 2 single! I'm more than happy with that and besides girl bands/boy bands are not particularly famous for pretty chart runs but instead are famous for their pretty set of top 10 peaks!
October 26, 200915 yr ^ I agree with you and FIO deserved to be their best peaking single so far in my eyes. But The Sats are very capable of having decent chart runs if you look at their previous era which is now disappointing if you look how FIO is holding up now comparison. Peaks mean more than chart runs for me but I'm just rooting consistant sales for it, it deserves to surpass 200k really and ATM I'm not quite sure if that's going to happen! :(
October 26, 200915 yr Long Chart Runs = Sales >>>Peak position if #1(gets boost from the added hype)>>> Peak position for any other place
October 26, 200915 yr Peak > Sales > Weeks On Chart for me. A good peak means great first week sales anyway but charting length is just a bonus actually. On paper it comes down to peaks and sales really.
October 26, 200915 yr If a song peaks at #1 and bombs to sell around 150k or peak at #11 with a long and healthy chart run and sell 300k. I know what one i would rather have and what the record company would rather have. Hopefully this doesn't do what Get Sexy did and drop from around 22 to around 36 in the space of a day. (So undeserving :() Edited October 26, 200915 yr by Just Plain Steve
October 26, 200915 yr 4 position and 10 position drops within the space of a day is very worrying... Indeed. Lady GaGa will probably also push it down to #24 by the looks of things now, ugh! :(
