August 19, 200915 yr I think I'm the only person in the world completely disappointed in the Florence album. I've loved all the singles, but over an album, her annoying vocal affectations get on my nerves. And her teeth-grindingly AWFUL cover of 'You Got The Love' tagged on at the end is just hideous. And yes, she obviously has listened to the Siouxsie and the Banshees back catalogue on repeat..... but an icon like La Sioux she will never be. One thing, though, Rob.... Siouxsie Sioux is far from modest hehe.... she's fully aware of her status and not afraid to let people know her achievements... and rightly so, really.... really? :unsure: ive never heard her bragging, making outrageous comments in the press (ala lilly allen), self promoting herself or owt like that. at the brits when she presented the scissor sisters with an award , ana matronic payed tribute to her and she seemed very coy about it, verging on embarrassment. but as you say, even if she does, she has the right to!
August 19, 200915 yr Yeah, everybody keeps saying that she's too arrogant and 'diva' and I have seen some of her interviews I picked randomly and read some of the articles but didn't find anything that could prove it right. The only thing i found weird is that she doesn't always look at the person when talking (unlike most of the celebs I saw in the interviews) but i guess many of us do the same. :unsure:

August 30, 200915 yr Release now been pushed back to September 14th, the same week Emíliana Torrini, Paloma Faith, Gossip and Nelly Furtado are out. Should be interesting to see which of the pop indie divas come out on top during that week :drama:
September 4, 200915 yr Saw her supporting Blur in Hyde Park in July, she was amazing! Can't wait to see her at Bestival!
September 9, 200915 yr she's gteat isn't she. starting to sound slightly overproduced these days though in my opinion. Prefered it when it was a bit more raw. still very good though.
