Pussycat Dolls split up?!

Ashley Roberts has reportedly admitted that the Pussycat Dolls have "broken up".

The singer/dancer has allegedly told fans outside a hotel in London that the girl group have split, reports the Daily Mail.

Ashley Roberts said: "This is the last time we'll be in the UK as a band. We've broken up. We're sorry."

The group's future has been in question for months as lead singer Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly planned to launch a solo career.

:( Seriously GUTTED if it's true.

If it's true I can't say that I'm surprised. All that drama "Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger" made it predictable imo.

Still, it's a shame they gave us some good music. But until the official conformation there's still hope

Yeah I hope it's not true. They've been fantastic this era, it'd be a shame to see them go away and let's face it, Nicole is NEVER going to be successful solo. :lol: :(

Even though they tottaly depend on Nicole for vocals, I would love it if she left to go solo and they continued as a four-piece

Apparently, they're not splitting up and are working on their third album. I really hope this is true.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like the Pussycat Dolls are no more.

My spies tell me the US babes have called it a day, amid jealous rows over the rising profile of lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, girlfriend of Brit motor racing ace Lewis Hamilton.

Yesterday band member Kimberly Wyatt confirmed that the group were taking a long break to consider their future, fuelling speculation that it’s all over for the band who formed in LA in 2003.

Blonde-haired Kim, 27, who’s currently judging the World Street Dance Championships, said: “The girls and I have just finished our huge world tour and are taking a break from the band and doing our own thing.

"We’re all concentrating on our own projects and deciding what the future will hold.”

News of the split will come as a huge shock to Dolls fans, who have helped turn the former Burlesque troupe into one of the world’s leading girl groups.

But I’m told tensions have been mounting in the Pussycat camp for several months. My spies tell me the five-piece have been divided by jealousy over the star treatment being meted out to their gorgeous lead singer.

Earlier this year Nicole, 31, was singled out for special mention on the group’s Slumdog Millionaire single Jai Hoh!, which was billed as The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger. Miaow!

The band played its final gig earlier this month in Beirut, Lebanon, and I’m told Nicole now hopes to follow the same path as Beyoncé, by leaving a successful girl group to become an icon in her own right.

Meanwhile, bandmate Kimberly has plans to sell her own clothing designs online and also wants to hold workshops for wannabe dancers in the UK.

She said: “I’ve had six years with the Pussycat Dolls and have been dancing for 20. Now that I’ve lived as much as I have, I feel it’s time to move on and truly give back.”
