So this is the next single apparently, not one of my favourites but it's probably the only decent choice left that she hasn't released for a single.

She's been filming the video recently:

"I have to tell you guys now that the fashion for the video is amazing! We're shooting it today and I've made a dress out of celotape as a mould!...keep your eyes peeled!"

Well this is insane tbh. Surely re-releasing Leave & Crying Blood would be the sensible thing to do.

WHY IS THIS WOMAN NOT SMASHING?

The Sound of 2009 list looks like a right flop now, only GaGa and Roux really smashed from it :(

I like it, but it's the wrong choice and it will flop. I'm a little surprised her label haven't given up on her yet. Obviously, I hope they never do.

This is one of the worst choices I think, 'L.O.V.E' or 'Crazy Amazing' would've been better. Or 'Back In Time'. Or 'Quick Fix'. Or a re-release of 'Crying Blood'. :(

I really don't know, she so deserves to. I just think she released the best two songs as her buzz singles and then "Shark In The Water" didn't take off as it should. The album is so patchy that there isn't really anything after that.

I think the list has some potential yet, Florence has stuck at #2 in albums for 3 (?) weeks with a consistent lead single and "Remedy" could be a top 10 hit at a push yet. It's not exactly been a good year for the list, but there's some hope yet. Just not for VV it seems.

Seeing as Aidan pretty much copied what I said in the first post, I disagree.

A re-release of "Crying Blood" would have been a good idea, but I don't think any of the others make good choice. "Back In Time" is totally bland, "Quick Fix" is nice but sounds so childish. It could pass for a children's TV theme. The other two are about equal to "Game Over" in terms of potential. None of them make much of a lasting impression.

I think it's a shame really. "Crying Blood", "Leave!" and "Shark In The Water" are brilliant. "Quick Fix" and "Everybody" are good, so it seemed a shame that I find the album totally average. It seemed to be album of the year potential based on the leaks. That said, I've still only given it one listen. It may be a big grower, especially since it's quite heavy on the downtempos, which take a while.

I disagree with you on the album, i think its pretty good. I have become a bit obsessed lately though so perhaps im just a bit biased. I definatly think the 3 singles so far are the strongest by several billion miles but i also think Everybody, Crazy Amazing, Quick Fix and Travelling Like The Light are all very good songs, just not good singles. Heck even her version of Video Killed The Radio isnt all that bad.
I actually think the album is far from patchy, it's my favourite pop album of the year and I think it's much better than the efforts of La Roux, Florence and even Little Boots. The only weak points for me are 'Bottles' and 'I Love You' could be shorter... I think 'Everybody' is pretty overrated too, it's good but not as good as most seem to be making out. I think most of the songs could be released as a single, I certainly don't see what makes 'Game Over' any more commercial or better than anything I listed, apart from maybe 'Back In Time' I suppose...

I listen to the album quite a lot in my car and all my friends seem to ADORE Crazy Amazing. I think it'd be a great single choice. So catchy!

I love the album and think this is the best choice as well as being one of the best songs - so I'm happy!

Oooh i like. Looks similar to Sugababes - Denial and Gabriella Cilmi - Save The Lies, same director, yes? The video has actually made me warm a bit to Game Over as a single, perhaps not an awful decision after all, even if it is destined to flop.
I think you're right Aled. It looks very similiar to "Denial" and "Save The Lies". I like the video, probably the most artistic she has done. I'm still not so sure on it being a single though, I hope it grows to me.
