HMV sent out my Eurovision DVD today :magic: I'm hoping it will come on Monday.

Also, anyone know when this will be updated:

After Jade Ewen finally bought the United Kingdom a respectable result in 2009, can we go all the way in Oslo this year? Come inside to speculate and discuss the world's most famous music competition.

And will the ESC 2011 green room thread be created as soon as an host city in announced, or beginning of August like this thread was?

Same for me. My favourite bonus feature is that we get the music videos of the top ten, or at least I hope we do again this year :D Nice to see the UK video featured in that bonus feature for once last year!

I hope the EBU use the final preview videos, since Romania & Azerbaijan both sent in new music videos after they'd submitted live performance videos back in March.

And we get Lena's winners press conference :cheer:

Got the DVD, watching now, must have been filmed on Hi-def cameras for the DVD or something because it looks completely different to how it did on TV, more film like almost :o

On Josh now, as woeful as I remembered it being, especially the final 30 seconds/last note :drama: France deserve far more credit for their last 3 years too;

Sebastien Tellier

Patricia Kaas - very classy and stylish

Jessy Matador - fantastic, energetic performance of a summer hit :D

an 8th place, a 12th place and bottom ten really doesn't justify these :(

My DVD arrived too :D Only really watched the top 5 preview videos - shame the videos for Romania & Azerbaijan aren't the updated proper music videos :(
Alyosha's preview video is pretty dark, not seen it before now. Seeing those derelict classrooms affected by the Chernobyl disaster always gives me the chills...
I want this DVD. But i have to save for living in Scandinavia (LOL) :(

Random question to Lena in the press conference from the Icelandic question asker:

'Are you inspired by Emiliana Torrini's Jungle Drum?'

She said she wasn't by the way but liked the song - bizarre question :heehee:

Both artists were used by FSR Rontvia in BJSC :funky:

OOOH yes. That's Prypiat. All of the people who worked in Chernobyl lived there. One of the very many places I'd love to visit. :o

Isn't the radiation risk still really high there? I'd be interested to visit but I think I'd find it very uncomfortable at the same time, it creeps me out a bit for want of a better expression.

Yeah, it's still quite high it has dropped so much over the last few years. There are areas that would pose a threat to your health. I think there are guided tours by a few companies, so I'm guessing they'll know the safe places. I agree though, it would be a bit creepy. :o

Rich, what do you think of the sound quality on the DVD? Someone on DS says it's terrible, but I can't say I've noticed it being bad :o

The DVD discs are very nice this year. The 2009 discs were really nice too, with the 2008 discs being boring with just the theme, but I LOVE them this year

Ah right. Is it the only 'ghost town' in Europe or are their others?

Sounds alright to me. Shame Lena's press conference was 60% in German though, I can barely understand any of it :snif:

There are some, but Prypiat is the biggest, I think. Kłomino in Poland is one and there are more in central Europe because of war etc. :(

I might have to purchase this DVD. I don't have any of them and I'd like to get this one along with 2009's. :D

Back in 2008, I did a ESC simulation giving my own chances, and uploaded it onto YouTube. More than two years later, someone commented, with swearing, asking me my problem with Spain, just because I gave them low chances. I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SPAIN, THEY JUST SEND RUBBISH SONGS. They couldn't even get their English right. Can't some people just get over themselves  :drama:

Lol I get alot of comment on the Best of ESC 2000-2009 recap. asking why I have chosen alot of bad songs :kink:
These sorts of people really annoy me. Questions like "where is Greece", "where is Armenia". But to that one, someone replied "south of Russia" :heehee:
