For the UK's interest, it appears we're doing Your Country Needs You again. The casting company which provided artists (including Jade!) to last year's show are advertising for Eurovision talent again for next year's series! Presumably it'll all follow the same/similar pattern!

wow :o not with ALW I assume though? but great that it will be a drawn out process and now an hour and a half special...

hope we get a decent songwriter again!

I've emailed to register my interest :kink: Who knows, this time next year I could be replacing the fat one in JLS

The MD of the casting agency twittered "wait til you find out who's writing the song!' ... she manages The Saturday's, so possibly someone who's written for them. Ryan and I were considering the potential of Ina Wroldsen (The Sats' 'Up' ... infact, most of The Sats best material and Jade's 'My Man' - check her out here.) - how great would she be?!

You could even be a Sugababe, at this rate :o

Yeah, but there's no fat one

Another big milestone has been reached in the lead up to Oslo 2010. Moments ago, Norwegian broadcaster NRK revealed the theme art and slogan for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest at a well-attended press conference. Next year's running of Europe's favourite TV-show will be constructed around the theme 'Share The Moment'.

The theme art design of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest was designed by the award-winning Norwegian design firms Gosu, Handverk and Snøhetta, based on a detailed brief of NRK.

"We want to share the Eurovision Song Contest, rather than just broadcast it," Hasse Lindmo, TV-producer of the contest for NRK, said to Eurovision.tv. "One particular thing that makes the Eurovision Song Contest such a unique event is the fact that it's the only time of the year in Europe that some 125 million people are doing exactly the same thing, at exactly the same time. Whether you're in Iceland or in Armenia, in Portugal or in Finland. Or here in Oslo," Lindmo explained. "What do some 125 million people look like? That was one our main questions."

The coloured spheres represent gathering people and the diversity of emotions surrounding the Eurovision Song Contest.

The theme 'Share The Moment' will be closely embedded into the two Semi-Finals and the Final of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, as well as in the events in the weeks and months leading up to it, such as the draws, the Heads of Delegation meeting in March, the welcome reception in mid-May and after-parties.

Yep, more fun. I can read the draw later. Watching it is like watching the lottery programme without having a ticket :kink:

I do that  I think it's nice see people winning :P

Well.. I think there will be some entertainment :) I wonder what NRK are showing :D

Oh and :o dosn't the hosts usally do this? :o Maybe we will know who till host the final :D

I wonder what other foreign BuzzJackers do we have on here so that we know countries-candidates to win in Oslo? :kink:

Will Hungary get their win? No, because they withdrew. Or Albania? :o UK doesn't count :kink:

Pot 1: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland

Pot 2: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden

Pot 3: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Israel, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine

Pot 4: Armenia, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Malta, the Netherlands, Turkey

Pot 5: Bulgaria, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia

That all looks up to standard - but does Switzerland normally exchange points with the former-yugoslavia countries? I dunno, but I guess Switzerland had to go in one of the pots

And we will also find out if each country will perform earlier or later in the running order :)

Do I have to say anything?

:o

I hope to get six of them very soon - I'm entering Norwegian's [the airline] Eurovision competition every day until May 15th, with the top prize being flights, two nights at some hotel in Oslo, and six tickets to the final :P If I'm not that lucky, second prize is the same, but with only two tickets, then there are two 3rd-place prizes - tickets to Semi 1, and tickets to Semi 2
