The CW is very polished but they do allow some of their shows to be "outgoing" but i mean, what would you expect from a network who aired seventh heaven

Where did you watch it Joao?

My usual streaming site doesn't have it up yet :(

The CW finally has something to cheer about. Vampire Diaries delivered breakout ratings!

Nina Dobrev , Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley pulled in 4.8 million viewers, making their show CW’s most-watched series premiere ever. While Melrose Place on Tuesday night pulled in around 2 million viewers, worse than their last year show ratings for "Privileged" that got the axed because CW wanted to do a Melrose Place remake.

America just can’t get enough of blood-sucking vampires.

Wowzers :o

My oh my hasnt the fame gotten to some peoples head

Several stars in the new TV show "The Vampire Diaries" were cited for disorderly conduct in Smarr last week for having a photo shoot while hanging over the I-75 bridge at Rumble Road.

Actress Nina Dobreva, along with five other co-stars and a Hollywood photographer, were briefly detained on the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 22. Monroe County deputies responded to the scene after seven different motorists called 911 to report women hanging off the Rumble Road bridge, said sheriff's office spokesperson Rhonda Morgan. One caller said the women were flashing motorists.

Morgan and deputy William Jackson were patrolling in the area and went to the scene. Upon arrival, Hollywood photographer Tyler Shields said he was shooting pictures for a show to air next month. Morgan checked the digital camera and reported finding shots of the young women hanging out over the bridge’s rail. One shot showed one of the women hanging over the interstate from the bridge while another held her only by her feet, as if she was throwing her over the rail. The five women and one man were cited for disorderly conduct and were booked and released from the Monroe County Jail. Each put up a $1,000 property bond.

Those cited along with the Hungarian-born Dobreva, 17, were Candice Accola, 22, of Hollywood, Calif., Kayla Ewell, 23, of Atlanta, Krystal Vayda, 25, of Clifton, N.J. and Sara Canning, 22, of Atlanta. The photographer was Tyler Shields, 27, of Los Angeles, Calif.

Morgan said they were very cooperative.

The five actresses are in the new TV show "The Vampire Diaries," which premieres last night Ahar Kahn, an employee of the BP Food Mart on Rumble Road at I-75, said the group was on its way to Savannah. He said they came by his store and took some "fun kind of pictures" while straddling on his store’s gas pumps. He said they were very nice and didn't give him any trouble. He said they were in two cars, one of them a Lexus.

The day before, on Aug. 21st, Hollywood photographer Tyler Shields wrote on his website at www.tylershields.com that he was going to be making stops through south Georgia for photos the next day.

"Prepping some shooting for tomorrow I am very excited about," wrote Shields. "Going to be traveling through the south of GA down to the coast- Going to try and make many stops along the way!"

Dobreva has been playing the role Mia Jones, the single mother on the TV show, "Degrassi: The Next Generation". She left that show to star as Elena Gilbert in "The Vampire Diaries."

Candice Accola will debut as a series regular in "The Vampire Diaries" as the manipulative Caroline Forbes, the nemesis of former friend Elena Gilbert (Dobreva).

Kayla Noelle Ewell is known for her roles as Caitlin Ramirez on CBS's long-running soap opera, “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and Maureen Sampson on NBC's acclaimed “Freaks and Geeks.”

Vayda is making her debut in a series. Canning played the lead character Anne Sluti in the Lifetime Network TV movie "Taken in Broad Daylight" and will be a recurring character in "The Vampire Diaries" as Jenna Moyer.

“The Vampire Diaries” is based on the book series of the same name by L.J. Smith. The plot revolves around Elena Gilbert, a young heroine who is the object of passion for two vampire brothers”one good, one evil”who are at war for her soul and for the souls of her friends, family and all the residents of the small town of Mystic Falls, Va. The show will replace The CW network's previous “Smallville” slot.

OK seen the pilot. It's not really my cup of tea (a little bit too soapy) but i'll keep on watching it as I found it pretty interesting.

The casting seemed pretty good. Boone was proper good. He's a really good actor, and that grin he gave the blonde girl at the end was something. It's a little bit cliche/simple, but i'll keep on watching it for the time being.

The soundtrack was amazing though. Top marks to the team.

Agreed - first ep was a 6 or 7 out of 10 - but it seems to have a lot of potential, so hopefully people will stick with it. I will for now!
Which channel  seems I missed it
It'll be on ITV2 from early 2010 - it's available from other sources for now

It seemed fairly scattered but it has a lot of potential imo. I was very impressed and can't wait for the next episode!
Major fail this week. Lost complete interest in it half way through. Stopped watching. Will probs pick it up again later.

I'm loving it.

Really enjoyed the first two eps.

Not read the books so know nothing about the series at all.

Like Joao I cba with it at the moment.

I might pick it up again later, but on Thursdays (so Friday for me) Supernatural, Fringe and Flash Forward air and they all prioritise over this.

I found the whole comet part of episode 2 to be very well odd!

I think with the story that they have, they do need to put in some fresh angles and perhaps explore other mythologies and creatures because the whole 'secret' and brothers' rivarly thing is going to tire very fast if they continue to move so slowly and back step.

Just watched E3. Enjoyed it, but even though it's only ep3 I'm getting impatient for more on Katherine.

Episode 3 definitely the best one by far, loved it. All the characters seem to getting more layers, making them more interesting.

I really enjoyed Elena this week, and her interactions with Stefan and especially Damon (saw some chemistry there). Bonnie definitely has immense potential, the actress is good too. Caroline I like, she seems to be the comedic character on the show, and I like her bluntness/inappropriateness. I also really like Matt and how he's not the stereotypical jock, hope he becomes friends with Stefan. I enjoyed Jeremy and Vicki in the past two episodes but i'm getting tired of their story now. They need to get over the teen emo angst and give them something else to do, other than whine. Tyler is by far the weakest link, dont like him at all.

All in all, great episode! I'm officially hooked.
