NIN PLEASE. lmao, i meant Horrors>MEW obviously, i didnt realise i was that drunk then, and it wasnt faris who said it but... The Horrors are set to hit the studio with a "massive" act later in the year. Their multi-instrumentalist Tomethy Furse told BBC 6music that the band intend to hole themselves up in the studio following six more months of live work to nail the collaboration – although he wouldn't reveal who the act was. "We can't talk about them," he said. "Rest assured, they are massive. But we're playing for the next six months and then as soon as that's done we'll get in there. "If we had the choice we'd probably do one month off and one month on, recording and playing, but you just can't do that. It doesn’t make any sense to anyone else but you." The Horrors released their acclaimed second album, 'Primary Colours', in May. they are so collaborating with NIN.
August 16, 200915 yr I saw The Horrors open for The Kills back in April. They were niceeeeee. Though I dunno, think I preferred The Kills in terms of their show aesthetic and performance. Still very good though.

Still very good though. how is their live show atm? like how do the new and old stuff fit together? I might see them at Reading if they dont clash with Deftones.
August 16, 200915 yr They didn't play a single song from their old album. Twas all very nice. Sea With a Sea was epiccc live.
August 16, 200915 yr Author :o it seems like they are ditching their old selves a bit then, I want to see them at Reading, but Deftones might clash.
August 17, 200915 yr They didn't play a single song from their old album. Twas all very nice. Sea With a Sea was epiccc live. They did when I saw them play in Camden a while back, just after the album came out.... They made sensible choices over which of the older stuff to play, so that left out rubbish like "Sheena is a Parasite".... Sometimes it's not really a bad thing though, for bands who go through a "change" (whether in terms of personnel or musical direction) to drop the older material... I sure wish to Christ Nightwish had done that, the new singer is just absolutely USELESS at singing Nightwish's older material, one of the worst gigs I'd ever attended tbh.....
August 17, 200915 yr Will be interesting to see if this NIN friendship helps The Horrors break America - I reckon they have a good shot, if you think about bands like The Cure, Echo & Bunnymen, etc. There's a big section of American music fans that like slightly dark UK indie-rock. Plus if they were to get a tune on one of the Twilight movie soundtracks or something they'll have it made...! ;)

August 18, 200915 yr Plus if they were to get a tune on one of the Twilight movie soundtracks or something they'll have it made...! ;) That would quite possibly be the WORST thing that The Horrors could do.... In fact, even worse than Echo and the Bunnymen's pretty hideous cover of "People Are Strange" for the Lost Boys soundtrack.... But, hey, at least Lost Boys was actually a fairly COOL Vampire film, unlike "Twilight", which is just utter SH!T.....
