I just listened to the new version of Aniron on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qhqVRGhmg8 and it's gorgeous. The ending is especially amazing.

combo for me as i have wanted an enya dvd for a long time.

Just downloaded the album. Remastered Orinoco Flow is stunning! Aniron is great too. ^_^

I wish i could just purchase Aniron. But alas, one has to purchase the entire album in order to get the track dang it. I won't be buying the album or DVD it seems.

TheSkeptic, I just went to iTunes UK, and since the album isn't released yet, you can only pre-order the full album (I don't think I've seen iTunes ever allow customers to pre-order select tracks from an album).

 

Only when an album is officially released do the individual songs get individual prices and individual "Buy Song" buttons. So, unless the record company made a deal with iTunes that The Very Best of Enya could only be downloaded as a full album, you should be able to buy individual tracks for 79p or 99p on Nov. 23.

The tracks should be available to purchase individually on iTunes US as well after the album is released.

 

They need promotion in the states like this.

 

We've got a similar advert going on here as well. Hopefully it'll help boost sales!

Enya is a multi-millionaire and this 'best of' is a cash grab with nothing new aside from the re-release of Aniron. Who cares if it's promoted or not? Who cares about the commercials..what does it benefit us?

I think it's because we enjoy her music and want to see her do well on the charts. As a hardcore fan, I know that's what I like to see. :cheer:

Exactly... I'm not bothered how much money Enya or anyone makes out of this release - same as I'm not with any other artist I like tbh - but obviously we're going to want her to do well chartwise aren't we? :wacko: I just like to see her name in lights pretty much! :lol:

I'm probably one of Enya's biggest fans but I guess, I'd be interested in seeing an actual formal album do well if it wasn't a re-release of past material. I don't care about another 'best of' charting well i suppose. When she releases her new album and I'm behind it, then I'll be curious about it charting well. This album was released by the record company and only benefits them financially.

Yeah that is true. Hasn't Enya's contract with Warner run out now or something? She'd do well getting away from them tbh and with a record company that can actually do the whole promotion shebang for her next album.

What record label do you have in mind for her, David?

I've no idea. I'm not all that clued up on record labels myself! I'm pretty sure there are better ones out there though.
