Lovely but absolutely unrealistic. 2010 would mean Enya would have needed to re-enter the studio in February at the earliest to make her usual 2 year deadline. What she should be doing is rehearsing for a live show. She's not living to her full potential as a professional in my opinion. Now is the time to make good on her up till now, EMPTY talks of live renderings. I'm still loving her music, but I can barely stomach hearing her in interviews. She says the same ol' thing over and over and over, and it ends up coming off like bullsh*t after this many years.
Perhaps this will be their last release for a while? To make time for their budding careers in neurosurgery...

Funniest post I've ever seen here.

It's appeared on Amazon UK, HMV UK and Play.com now due for release on the 23rd. :D Both editions are on all sites too, with full tracklisting and cover there as well. CD is currently 11,496 on the chart on Amazon (lol) and the DVD edition is 2,569.

I'm guessing the numbers are lower for the CD only because most Enya fans have those songs and there is nothing extra to offer, therefore, the CD/DVD version is higher. I'm still hoping to see the numbers rise as time goes on. I noticed that on Amazon US, they have two listed as imports and one not...hmmm...

Supposively, this is the back cover.

Here are the links to buy from Amazon (it's released November 24th here in the states):

Updated release date listing:

The UK's release date will end up being pushed back again I would imagine then. PTSWS was released early December though if I remember rightly wasn't it?
I really hate the tracklist!!!! Think it is missing way too many songs! She should have released a PROPER 2cd set (none of this 1cd nonsense imo), i mean...she already has a one disc best of and has released 3 albums since then! Either way, I ain't buying it!!! Shall just wait for the next studio album

Agreed Crowan, on some levels, I think the track list for the DVD version is nearly dead on. I think this so-called 'best of' is ridiculous at best. I'm not at all excited about it, with the small exception of owning the 3+ minute version of Aniron. Enya is so full of disappointment in the interims between albums. She talks about live shows and NEVER makes good on those talks, she releases a winter album and the only song she makes a video for is the most pseudo non-winter song on the album. One of the best tracks on the album, Last Time By Moonlight, is left off the new best of and instead, the use the typical filler song, Stars and Midnight Blue. Her official site is looking better, but there's been such a harsh crackdown on anything overtly critical the forum has all but died these days.

I'm awaiting a new studio album to get excited once again!

I'm not disappointed per se, I just don't like how it's been built up by the likes of Aigle & Warner. It's not a new album, it's a collection of the same songs we all own, repackaged once again [a fourth time] for the purposes of making money. Aigle could have made this a bit more special, including a new song or two, but alas, it's just mediocre, which therein lies the biggest problem to me.

Well, TheSkeptic, since Enya and Co. aren't living up to/meeting your expectations, maybe it's time to move on to a different artist.....you make it tough for someone like me to really enjoy this forum, when you feel the need to continually gripe about the way Enya and Co. fail to meet your expectations.....and to continually bad mouth enya.com makes it another unpleasant place to visit as well, along with people there who do the same as you here, complain and gripe the way they do things there.....

I'm going to end my rant here, before I really say what I'm thinking......because I know it'll be an expletive-laden affair.....

I think they made the DVD version because people mentioned that they wanted her video collection released in full, so they are indeed listening to what we are saying. I know the DVD collection isn't complete, but it contains the videos that are worthwhile. Exile, HCIKFS, May It Be, I Want Tomorrow, and Aldebaran are the only ones left off, I think...so really, that doesn't effect things too much because those videos aren't among her best, IMO.

I think you need to chill out mate....this is a music forum and people are sometimes going to have different opinions to yourself!!! There is no need to be so hostile about it!

Thank you Crowan. I left Unity for the very reason that unless I'm fawning over Enya's every motion, I'm not a real fan. I'm her biggest fan, I just don't like how she lets herself be handled professionally, and the larger portion of her web presence. I feel relief that I can say my opinions without fear of banning or retribution. I love this forum!

On a related note, I am excited about this version on Aniron. I would agree that it's one of Enya's best melodies ever.

No worries! As a massive Shania Twain fan i have seen this very same kind of attitude before from other fans, and i certainly don't agree with it!

Now let us get this thread back on topic! Yes i am looking forward to hearing the new version of Aniron! I really love the 2 tracks she did for LOTR, and i think i might actually cherry-pick them off the album on itunes whenever the album is released :)

Yes, I will be downloading Aniron exclusively off of iTunes when the album releases. I'm hearing that the documentary material will not be new whatsoever, so I probably won't be purchasing the DVD unfortunately.
