Love, love, love. Is this likely to be a hit in European regions like Germany? I have no idea what people want from Mariah in Europe. I don't think it'll be a hit here whatsoever but with a big TV performance or two it has a good chance in the US.

Ok I love it now but still its not very commercial I cant see it doing amazingly...I hope to be proven wrong.
I LOVE this....really hope its a big hit! it PISSES all over Bye Bye lol
I'm addicted to this song now today, love it!
This is the Mariah I love

and this is the Mariah I don't love. :(

It's a nice enough cover, but I'm rather BLAH at it all. She's made a song I really don't like alright, but that's about as far as it goes. :(

It is way too short, she spends the majority of the song in the quieter bit and it only properly kicks off 38 seconds before it finishes. You find yourself waiting the whole time for it to go off and when it does it's a bit like "oh, was that all?". I'd probably love it if it climaxed for a little longer.

LOVE this

Amazing song, will be a classic Mariah song in years to come.

Hmm I prefer it when she sings broader than whispery or whatever it is she does but I do like it ^_^ hope it does well.

Disappointement of the year for me :o

'Obsessed' is like my fav Mariah single ever, and one of my favourite songs of 2009. It's edgy, urban, catchy, with great lyrics, and sees Mariah at her best.

And now she comes up with "that", a meh cover of a meh ballad. Nothing really exciting about this song. Maybe it will grow, I hope. But I don't think it will. :(

Yeah, not really fond of the whispering either. I just hope the tracks aren't all similar in style to this.

Sorta agree with this, "Obsessed" was just wow and so fresh. I was impressed by how she got it done so quickly as it was quite obviously a response record. But now we're seeing some reviews and it all seems to be rather 'meh' whispery stuff. It's not looking for (to me) if this was the song they were all raving about after the listening evenings.

Im LOVING this at the mo  Its like an updated 90s version of Mariah goodness  The last minute is absolutely EPIC. I wish my repeat button would stop working so i dont overplay this :(
is getting played on UK Radio?
Everytime I listen to this now I just wish it was about 45 seconds longer. I just want the final minute to keep going :heehee:
I would like to hear AAC's comments on this... He's conspicuous by his absence! He's either loving the song or he's hunting her down to kill her. :(

LOL, my internet is bust so I can only use a friend's every so often!

ANYWAY, I can't believe I'm going to say this... I love it. Honestly, I was dreading this because I feel the song itself is just repulsive, but Mariah killed it. The "whispers" were OK, too, and made the song that much more angelic (reminiscent of the "Butterfly" era as opposed to "Charmbracelet"). I'm not sure about it's sucess, though. I think it's got a decent shot at being a hit internationally, but in the U.S. I'm not sure. It's definitely not as edgey as "Obsessed" which has been gaining crazy numbers on Pop & Rhythmic this week.

I love it, Classic Mariah
