Bev confirmed on her Twitter that the second single off "100%" is a double-a-side of "In Your Shoes" and "Soul Survivor".

Well it does prove she doesn't know much about releases. I don't think a double-a-side will do well at all, will probably end up flopping.

Well at least she's chosen the best 2 songs (that we've heard) i guess. Double A-Side is of course ridicolous these days.

I hope she drops 'Soul Survivor' and unleashes 'In Your Shoes' alone. I think it could be her biggest hit since at least 'Keep This Fire Burning'. I think it'll be the main A-side anyway. Ronnie Herel played it on his 1xtra show when she was interviewed last night but there was no mention of SS, so that's a good sign!

As much as I feel completely the opposite about the songs ("Soul Survivor" is my fave, "In Your Shoes" being among the least good) I think releasing just one and it being "In Your Shoes" is the best choice. I can't see a track featuring Chaka Khan (as good as she and the track is) troubling the top 75 so it'd make sense to go with this, not that anything will chart when the lead single flops. It seems to be a fan fave anyway.

 

I'm DETERMINED that you will grow to love "Soul Survivor" when it's out in studio version. Someone on the fan site did a u-turn on it when he got the album, I hope you will too. Then again, you hate on "Black Butta", her second best song and a proper fan fave so I don't hold that much hope for you.

Haha, I do tend to go a bit stan-ish for Bev. :( I just see "Black Butta" as one of her best songs, perhaps not lyrically, but overall. A live version of it managed to win over enough people to win the BJSC (in an admittedly smaller contest) over the demo of "The Fear" on here, so that's gotta mean something if you look at her other BJSC 'successes'. (right? :()

I was gonna agree with you, before I remembered that "The Queen Of Starting Over" is my favourite Bev song. :wub: I think that album was better than it gets credit for.

Queen Of Starting Over is down as like my 8th favorite from the album.
