Elvis' Song In Verizon Commercial

 

Verizon responded to AT&T's "There's a Map For That" lawsuit by releasing a slew of new commercials with similar themes and messaging. The battle continues, this time on the infamous Island of Misfit Toys.

The first commercial, which I saw air for the first time during the New England Patriots game this afternoon, is called Verizon Blue Christmas. As Elvis croons, a man depressingly makes his way home with no cell coverage. He's utterly sad until he sees that a wrapped, red present might just contain the phone he's really looking for.

These are the details and a preview of the new "Christmas Remixes" album by the Italian DJ Spankox we mentioned earlier this week.

Released: Elvis: Good Times 2 CD FTD Special Edition

 

Good Times is a 2-disc set in the FTD Classic Album Series. Originally released in 1974, this great album featured the legendary 'Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues', 'My Boy' and 'I've Got A Thing About You Baby'. In addition to the masters, it will contain many great outtakes from the Stax Sessions of 1973.

It's a comprehensive collection of Elvis' recorded career, with all of his U.S. number one hits and most of his U.K. number one hits, with the exception of 'Wooden Heart' and 'The Wonder Of You', But then their on the 2 CD set, Elvis Presley: 50 Australian Top Ten Hits 1956-1977 and less heard material.
