October 25, 200915 yr Now that was her best performance. I was surprised it worked so perfectly on the small stage. So atmospheric.

October 29, 200915 yr The most stunning EPIC performance of Happy tonight in Sweden  <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKzhtGjyk9k&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKzhtGjyk9k&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
October 29, 200915 yr This is really struggling on U.S. radio. The updates are so inconsistent. I'm still hoping it'll take off eventually, but I'm so worried, especially with the album release looming. First week sales could be really poor at this rate. It's a shame they're not going to rush release the second single, because I don't think "Happy" is going to be a U.S. hit for her. It's such a shame, because with the right material she could be a real force.
October 30, 200915 yr That performance in Sweden was amazing! Her best yet easily. :D This is really struggling on U.S. radio. The updates are so inconsistent. It's a shame they're not going to rush release the second single, because I don't think "Happy" is going to be a U.S. hit for her. It's such a shame, because with the right material she could be a real force. US radio sucks. What annoys me is the people who hear it clearly love it and download it like after she performed on America's Got Talent. But radio isn't even giving people a chance to hear it now. It's their loss really. Her promo around the album release will ensure it still sells and then she has songs like I Got You and Outta My Head which will hopefully do better.

Truly beautiful, I can't wait for the performance on The X Factor
October 30, 200915 yr DS Review of 'Happy' Leona Lewis: ‘Happy’ Released on Monday, November 9 2009 By Nick Levine, Music Editor Let’s get the obvious out the way. ‘Happy’ is no ‘Bleeding Love’. Perhaps it was unrealistic to expect it to match one of the defining pop singles of the past decade. Maybe it was always going to be the Dannii to that song’s Kylie. However, once you accept this, ‘Happy’ is by no means a disappointment. Produced by Ryan Tedder – yes, we all know which Leona single he worked on previously – it’s a stately piano ballad with an explosive chorus hook and lashings of emotion. Leona shows real artistic growth here, claiming a writing credit on a song whose message – sad but optimistic, essentially Seize The Day – is realised sensitively and elegantly. Then there’s the singing. Her entire performance is exemplary of course, but the vocal run from 2.39 to 2.44 suggests she could be the best pop singer we’ve got at the moment. And by “we”, we do of course mean “the world”.
October 31, 200915 yr I'm actually sososo obsessed with this song at the moment. It literally gets better with every listen.I cant believe how much its grown on me!I think its my third favourite Leona song after BL and Run. But I must admit, the fact that it took me so long to really appreciate the song has me worried about how it will do in the charts.
November 1, 200915 yr http://hitparade.ch/cdimg/leona_lewis-happy_s_1.jpg Happy (single #1) 11 Sweden [25-11-28-26-36-] 15 Canada [15-72-x-] 44 Australia [44-x-] 50 US [50-83-x-x-x-98-] 74 Holland [74-83-] Still not the hit I hoped it'd be..
November 1, 200915 yr Still not the hit I hoped it'd be.. She's performing on X Factor next week, so that'll make it #1 in the UK, and she's performing in quite a few places in the US, which should help it rise more, and she'll be performing at the EMAs, which'll be brilliant coverage for all of the countries in Europe. So let's see what happens :D
November 2, 200915 yr iTunes pre-order: Bundle includes Happy and the Nevins remix  http://bit.ly/1ffuTo I expect another bundle will be available with Let It Rain at some stage!
November 2, 200915 yr She's steadily increasing on the US iTunes, #55 last time I checked, and her airplay is OK, so I think she might increase quite a bit from last week, hopefully she'll keep increasing
November 2, 200915 yr She's steadily increasing on the US iTunes, #55 last time I checked, and her airplay is OK, so I think she might increase quite a bit from last week, hopefully she'll keep increasing  33 32 LEONA LEWIS Happy 1243 1263 -20 -22 Spins -34 Bullet It's been terribly inconsistent, hovering in the 30's for a while now. Things are not looking great, as it's been having a few days where it's lost spins recently. It is odd that her iTunes sales are increasing. I wish I could be more positive, but I'm so upset (for Leona) that "Happy" was chosen as lead, because she really could've been huge stateside. She needed to prove herself with this record, and there's going to be little hype for the album release now (again, this is in the U.S. I'm talking about). Hopefully, the release of "Outta My Head" will rejuvenate interest in her, as she certainly deserves it. You know, I wouldn't actually be surprised if this doesn't go #1 in the UK next week. I know it's pretty much a dead certainty with her X-Factor performance, but if it happens maybe that'll make her label step up (as in "Wow, it's Leona and after an X-Factor performance this should = instant #1, what have we done wrong?").
