I think they've done that every week, sometimes with very little justification.

dear lord, these so called experts - mind you looking at the phyiscial exertion of opera singers no wonder they think everyone else is miming, proves that Darius can go up a level, and he should next week if he has any sense! he does make it look effortless, although imo Bernie and Marcella looked as if they were having to extert themselves a great deal

there will always be those who insist things are mimed, people were saying Kathrine and Rolando were miming one week - odd no miming comments about Meatloafs performance...LOL

Doesn't it make you proud of him? He's so good he can do it better than opera singers so he must be miming. I like the way they manage to mime to their mistakes as well - that's even cleverer.

 

Does it ever dawn on the woman that they are doing a short piece and they would probably be heaving if they'd sang through a whole opera? I don't breathe heavily when I run a couple of dozen metres - I certainly would if I did half a mile.

Darius performed the whole of that aria. However as you say, it was in isolation, more like a concert piece.

I know it was the whole of the aria - but it wasn't the whole opera.

Well what you have said is the tip of the iceberg I can tell you, not far from here is really nasty and uninformed plus elsewhere. I hope D is informed of what has been said about KJ and Rhydian singing together and he is prepared., he will need to be.

What makes me mad is that the week befores performance by D was called superb and marcellas average yet he is now being judged on this last performance, why did the judges not let his superb performance be this last week, Also his acting and stage presence/performance skills arent getting a word of praise or they didnt on last friday.

I have to say Rolando has always praised Darius on performing the songs, and did say he performed it well, that he was a good actor. his comments are fair. Its LLB i have the problem with, he sits there just waiting to stick the knife in, for god sakes, after telling Danny he was a fan of his voice..credibility zero in my book after that

I did like the way Rolando said at the start people should be looking at the performance and how the singer connected to the song and to the audience..
