In the link I posted earlier (thanks to Meg and Bramley! :D ) there is an advert saying that D is singing in London on 1st November:

I assume this is probably wishful thinking on the poster's part!! but I do remember someone on Facebook trying to get in touch with D to ask if he would appear with a certain performer. I wondered if D had possibly agreed to do this!!?? - but... he has, of course, only just gone back to LA!

Where is D supposed to be singing, presumably in London, but where? Is AVA a hall or a promotion company?

 

Just been on Facebook.....the event is at Bloomsbury Ballroom, Bloomsbury Square, 7.00 - 1.00

Tickets £29 till end of October, more on the door.

The main page does not mention D, but a blog below says Newsflash, D will be appearing.

This is an event for Iranians.

 

Personally I can't see D coming to London specially for this.

Hi, I've asked Darius about this and it seems it was confirmed very much at the last minute this week. Darius has given me this message for anyone interested in going:

 

Tomorrow night is a Persian night - tickets are open to the public but I'm only dueting with Andy on one song - Stand By Me, which he dueted with Bon Jovi (check out www.andymusic.com)... Andy is the Middle East's Tom Jones, and has sold over 40 million records... I was lucky enough to be at his concert in LA last Saturday at the Kodak Theatre (where the Oscars are held) and he invited me on stage to sing with him! We've become friends and he invited me to duet with him tomorrow night.

 

It's not an official performance but I'd welcome anyone that wants to come!

Wow, he is actually coming back from LA for this - great news Rachel, thanks for letting us know :D I'm so pleased that he is performing back in London - if I had known earlier in the week I would definitely have been there!! :( I hope that someone from the forum can be there to report back or we will be able to get some news or pictures from Facebook/Persian Hub - it certainly sounds like it will be a great night!! Any news on what D will be doing next??!!! :thinking: :D

good to hear,

I'm not Persian so I'd feel like I was intruding even if I could go. Ny daughter volunteered to stay with my Mum who would be happy to stay up late but, for me, it'd be like disturbing him at a non-working event and would just feel so wrong.

I agree with you Meg. I could go but would feel even more out of place than I did at the Big Sing and like you would feel I was intruding

I think if he had wanted his fans to support him at this event D would have publicised

his appearance through the usual channels.

And he is performing only one song, a duet.

Isn't it depressing though that he's finally doing something and none of us are here.
