I am not counting any chickens tbh, the posters may well have just read about gwtw on his site and got the wrong end of the stick or something...didnt someone post somethign about seeing him at grosvener sq station with his father the other week? .I wuld have thought something would have been said or filtered through if any show was confirmed - I dont see D as being bad mannered - he is always all to happy to inform us about things that fans would be able to access and only sopke with rachel a short while ago about the iranian gig, he knows we are all waiting eagerly I am sure.

Wouldn't it just be nice though if he could actually let us know, rather than us just feeling that this is the case :( Would it kill him to say hi? Darius doesn't owe us anything, but common courtesy dictates that he should have been in touch by now IMO, and we have all experienced how courteous Darius can be. When he gave the video message stating he would supply monthly updates, I knew this would not happen, but didn't expect to be in such a wilderness as this.

 

Darius has been a big thing in my life for the last 7 years or so, but I have to admit, I am feeling pretty abandoned as a D fan right now :(

 

 

yup, I agree it is odd how he has gone completely quiet - I dont see that as being good news tbh, I know he is living his life and wish him well, but when you see all and sundry on the myspace etc pages at least giving updates at intervals it is very disheartening to see and hear nothing at all for so long. I tend to see it as negative, especially given the cruel nature of his last venture in GWTW I keep thinking he has given up on showbiz and the ilk. I know that it is wrong to be negative - but what can you expect?

Darius is working very hard in the studio right now so please don't feel abandoned, he is just really dedicated to finishing the new album, getting everything in place including changing his management team a few months ago to Crown Music Management who are very good.

 

This Facebook message seems to be a case of someone getting the wrong end of the stick as PiP says. I've asked about it and he's a bit bemused as he didn't mention a show to any one. The lady was telling him about seeing him perform in Chicago previously so possibly there was a misunderstanding but there were no bad manners on his part.

 

He does want fans to know that there should be an exciting announcement in January but details still have to be finalized so that's all he can say for now.

Thank you so much Rachel - I knew you would get things clarified for us :D At least we now have some insight into what D is doing - although several times now he has claimed the album is finished!! So he has finally given up on Simon Fuller and changed his management - I think this can only be good for him as Simon Fuller has so many more 'irons in the fire'!! I notice D now has management contact listed on IMDB which I don't think he had before.

 

So..... nothing before January?? :( But let's just hope that when we get this exciting announcement it will be 'all systems GO' for 2010!!! :dance: :D
