September 19, 200618 yr  My sister-in-laws are safe but I wouldn't mind recycling one of my brother-in-laws.
September 19, 200618 yr No no, no BOGOF please. I like to ration the number of men. they're so time consuming, i think.
September 19, 200618 yr I wish he would change the songs on my space particularly how do you like it, has been there for ages. regarding the global warming, spoke to my son about it who is in the environment and asked him to read the blog, he said typical takes a bl--dy celebrity for you to take notice of what we have been saying for two years!!!
September 19, 200618 yr A very special celebrity, as far as you're concerned, eh, Preston? I love the fact that Darius researches the things he's interested in. You can take the student out of the uni, but you can't take academia out of the him!
September 19, 200618 yr though I am suprised he hasnt been clued up on things a lot earlier..I have been forcasting Human demise for decades, but then I am the proverbial prophet of doom LOL
September 21, 200618 yr I think Darius probably has been aware of green issues and has quietly tried to do his bit. He's never struck me as a guy with a throwaway mentality who's forever replacing material things. He still takes public transport. He seems to have enjoyed and respected the natural environment from his childhood.
September 21, 200618 yr Darius can come over again. He can fly Virgin with a clean green conscience. What's ethanol? Heard it on the news bit about Branson.
September 21, 200618 yr though I am suprised he hasnt been clued up on things a lot earlier..I have been forcasting Human demise for decades, but then I am the proverbial prophet of doom LOL I don't think Darius meant he wasn't aware of it at all - in fact I'm sure he didn't, I think he was probably meaning that he'd recently become aware of how there have been forces at work that have led people to doubt how significant global warming is and that prior to seeing the film and reading around the subject he didn't realise that himself. September 21, 200618 yr Author I think Darius is right on the ball with his understanding here. Has anyone here seen the Film “An Inconvenient Truth Do we know when or if it's available in the UK?
September 21, 200618 yr Darius can come over again. He can fly Virgin with a clean green conscience. What's ethanol? Heard it on the news bit about Branson. Ethanol is alcohol - why? I heard something about Richard Branson planing to donate his profits from his flights? to help stop Global Warming, but since airoplanes contribute significantly to it in the first place, it just made me laugh really  - but still I suppose it means he might be repairing some of the damage he does :P Edited September 21, 200618 yr by Secret_Song
September 21, 200618 yr I think Darius is right on the ball with his understanding here. Has anyone here seen the Film “An Inconvenient Truth Do we know when or if it's available in the UK? It was on in Manchester on the 15th of September - I couldn't get there and so didn't see it :( It's showing in Cambridge tomorrow night I think. I've got a full list in an excel document, but I can't copy paste it I don't think? Where abouts are you? edit: Can't even do you a proper link to where to download the document as it's a flash site and the url of the page doesn't show up/change, but if you go to THE MAIN WEBSITE - on the right hand side there's a link for 'See the film' - click on that and then there's a link on the next page saying find a theatre near you - that will give you the file link to download. I think he's right too - I think we've been made monkies out of as usual, so I've an idea that there's probably not anything in the film that I haven't made myself aware of recently too - but I'd still like to see it though - I'll have to check if it's still on anywhere I could get to. September 22, 200618 yr I wondered if Darius's passionate need to know more and spread the message was partly influenced by the fact that he is in a relationship where he shares some responsibilty for young children.
September 22, 200618 yr An Inconvenient Truth is listed on Sky Movies 3 for 3.30pm this afternoon. Not sure if this is the actual film Darius has posted about but thought I would post it here anyway.
September 22, 200618 yr I think Darius is right on the ball with his understanding here. Has anyone here seen the Film “An Inconvenient Truth Do we know when or if it's available in the UK? I have seen 2/3rds of the film. Some of the statistics are quite shocking, but I began to lose interest in the film after halfway, and switched it off. I was hoping to be inspired, but after the initial shock of the figures, I just had the feeling, with so many other people and countries ignoring and not caring, why should I bother? I realise if a million people like me, made the effort, then there may be a difference made, but this film hasn't inspired me to do that I am afraid :(
September 22, 200618 yr Well I dont do a lot but I take all my cans, glass bottles, plastic bottles and paper to be recycled I cannot throw them in the bin it seems so wrong.
