Its strange isnt it how we differ, I absolutely love tear run dry, my favourite, love the lyrics of it, fragile I also like but again not some of the lyrics.

it is odd how everyone has different tastes..I dont like sexy indiviual very much..too boy bandish for me..tear run dry must be a favourite, my daughter's too..we both think that is a timeless classic ballad

I honestly think Darius is the FIRST person that I can honestly say I love most all his work..I have to admit to skipping over quite a number of tracks of my other favs for times passed and that included Queen..I didnt like a lot fo their b sides or album tracks..

There you go - I like sexy individual. I just think of traffic lights.

This time of the day, I never get any tracks playing straight through.

My Mum loves 'Let there be Love' It doesn't sound the same as a duet between her and Darius. She gets the words wrong, occasionally, the tune wrong but sings with vigor.

I'm not a fan of cover versions and at first I wasn't happy that Darius had put one up when there are still so many great songs of his own.

 

However, I like Let There Be Love because IMHO it really showcases the warmth and charm which Pete Waterman immediately recognised in D's voice - honeyed, I think is an old term which describes it beautifully.

 

I now think Darius added that particular song because it conveys the Christmas message of love and peace. I wish he'd recorded When A Child Is Born. There's a bit on the PI Dvd but it was very early in PI when they only sang part of the song. His tone on that gives me goosebumps too.

 

I guess most of D's fans won't have heard LTBL before, unless of course they went to the PI tour and/or bought its video/Dvd or bought the Big Band CD.

 

 

 

Darius' friends on my space has gone down from 2139 to 2128 over the last three days, dont understand how this happens.

I delete peole who I find I don't want. I should think it's the same for Darius. look at the posts we sometimes get on here. If someone asks to be your friend and then tries to use that as a means of abuse, then of course you delete them.

It could possibly be what Meg has suggested I suppose, but sometimes myspace seems to make friends just disappear off your list mysteriously for no apparent reason though. I've never deleted any of my 'friends' - but have occasionally had to re-add and accept requests from some who've mysteriously been deleted from my friends' list anyway.

Another thing that happens, is that the friend's account itself may have been deleted - when that happens, all trace of them disappears including past comments, messages and their presense on your list of friends.

I keep being invited to join webcam friends..LOL..poor misdirected people..then their profiles are deleted for spamming by th epowers that be.

err..nope..LOL..I think its porn.LOL.. I get a lot of requests that are from girls with pretty names..LOL..then their profiles are deleted..probably by myspace! my request list has a lot of red crosses on which I have to delete..

I don't understand his attachment to DIY.... but then there may be a lot more to why and how he wrote it that is way beyond my comprehension.

 

It's the one track on Live Twice I would happily skip but for the fact it's the only way I can get to hear one of my very favourite songs, Secret Song.

 

I agree, I know it took a while for me to appreciate it, I do love it now, as I appreciate those rich deep vocals and the luagh in his voice. Jazz etc isnt a love of mine..I always feel the genre is too forced somehow, it doesnt feel as natural and heart felt as the lyrics of his other songs..but then we dont know the ins and outs

If Darius was updating Faith In Me now, he'd need to add some lines about skinniest, curviest, airbrushed, plainest without make up - those seemed to be done to death in 2006 by celeb mags with nothing to say.

I don't think I'll ever like 'Devil In You'. His voice sounds good when he sings it livebut, I really dislike the song. If it hadn'tbeen Darius, that one would probably have put me off buying the album 'Live Twice'
