Another point is that myspace is probably the only place the fans of an unsigned or unknown artist can listen to any of their songs if they can't get along to gigs and the artist hasn't put anything out on CD. Imagine if Darius only had 3 or 4 songs and the only place to hear them was his myspace, you'd be using that musicplayer as often as you could, wouldn't you? Especially if the tracks were only being streamed.

 

Also a large number of plays will come from sheer curiosity. One could write a post saying "Wow! listen to this great new artist!" with a link on bj, ROTD etc etc and that would generate considerable traffic. I know I for one usually follow such links to have a listen to all the songs. One could post the link on 1, 2 ,5 even 10 different sites in one day.

 

Similarly fans could make it their goal to send 100 friend requests to random people on myspace every day. If even half of them do add them that's 50 bases each to use to push their own agenda or artist.

He must be working hard in his studio. He's been back in LA for a bit and he doesn't seem to have been jaunting about.

What happened to the monthly update/video that he promised us in July!!? :cry: If nothing else, hopefully we will get an October blog! :D

I think the blog has taken the place of the update. He still needs a clear definition of what monthly means - is he working from a different calendar?

I think we'll all noticed his sense of time in everyway, is different from anyone else's.

I hope its his studio he is working hard at.

What on earth is wrong with all the songs today. The player seems to be sluggish beyond belief. I tried to play Love To Love and gave up after about 4 minutes of connecting/buffering and then I tried the next one down - can't remember what song it is..same problem.

I just thought it was my connection.

I wondered if it was mine but thought I'd mention it here.

It's still bad for me now.

It took about one minute for it to play.

Still not working right for me today.

Oh, I don't know. Right now it's doing a very good impression of cracking up!
