Posted September 3, 200915 yr gg1yMOdjyp0 Everything changes for 15yr old Mia when her mum brings home a new boyfriend. Its getting really good reviews and won the Jury Prize at Cannes. Im really interested in this one, cos it looks really good, and two for their portrayal of Essex and how realistic this film can be. Hopefully it lives up to the hype and really is the "best british film of 09" and is not just another film that they say is the "best" every other week.. I unfortunately see this getting a limited release though :( Opens September 11th in the UK.
October 15, 200915 yr OH GOD <3. I can't quite describe why/how this film is SO good but it's incredibly touching, realistic to the point where it doesn't feel like a film at all, at least not compared to any other film i've seen. I guess in some ways it's a bit odd, it's plot is sort of open ended, with no proper beginning, middle or end (i mean, it could've ended in many, many places) to me, feels almost like a diary? I guess some people could call it dull, but i think it really is the best british film of the year. Seriously recommend seeing this.
