Posted September 5, 200915 yr This year's Eurovision in the UK will clash with one of the Britain's Got Talent semi finals... so is likely to record incredibly low ratings. :( Grrrrr never good. :( Oh and also I heard 'Always' in a kebab shop tonight and sang along like a twat. Waheyyyyyyyy!!! x x x
September 5, 200915 yr Author Yes, one of my drunken thoughts it would seem. :( But yes, I heard Always in a kebab shop! :w00t:
September 5, 200915 yr  Eurovision/BGT clash has been and gone David! I played Always in Asda yesterday funnily enough, in fact I was playing a Swedish compilation called Absolute Music 61 so Fairytale and Is It True (that are also on the compilation) got played too :D and I noticed one of the customers in fact singing along to Always :o he looked foreign, so he must have been from a country where it's been a hit...
September 5, 200915 yr I hear 'Fairytale' anywhere I go here :drama: Yesterday I saw a arabic man on a bus who had 'Fairytale' as ringtone

But wasn't 2009's clash just a normal BGT show, rather than one of the lives ones? Which it will be this year, and the live shows tend to pull in 14m+ don't they. :o

September 7, 200915 yr wish i coul hear Eurovision ringtones :( Send an Mp3 to your phone and set it as your ringtone? ;p
September 12, 200915 yr Author Who watches it anyway? :kink: 18m, nearly a third of the UK population watched the final result last year!
September 15, 200915 yr Eurovision is clearly superior to Britain's Got Talent. Except Susan Boyle :P
September 28, 200915 yr BGT don't have a semi-final on a Saturday do they, isn't in normally the last auditions show? That's what it was like this year. But this year, the final was on 30th May, so next year it could be 29th May. Eurovision clashing with BGT is even worse. Hopefully ITV will push BGT either forward or backwards a week. BBC wouldn't care, they don't mind if their top show clashes with ITV's top show. And the BBC can't exactly move Eurovision to a different date/time :P
September 29, 200915 yr Oh dear lord!!!!! The final of BGT was on a Saturday last year as opposed to bank holiday Monday... I bet it is the final that clashes with Eurovision as opposed to one of the semis. Eurovision only managed to put a very minor dent in BGT ratings last year and that was a regular auditions show....Eurovision is doomed!!

September 30, 200915 yr Author Oh dear was it actually the final on a Saturday this year? The Eurovision will get pummelled ratings-wise... regardless of who we send I can't see it averaging higher than five million tbh.
October 1, 200915 yr Tbh I don't see the appeal of watching BGT over eurovision. Britains got talent isn't in the same league as eurovision. Britains Got Talent has no real value to me besides entertainment, the same goes for X factor. Eurovision for me is something more than just entertainment. So it will always win out against those shows for me.
October 2, 200915 yr unforuntately there are only a select few loons who feel this way about Eurovision (me included ) when discussing Sugababes with a girl at work the other day, she didn't even know who Jade Ewen was, and couldn't recall It's My Time or any of the Andrew Lloyd Webber stuff at all :/ was it not EVERYWHERE, or do people who don't care about it just completely ignore it
