Someone mentioned in their post that some of the 'same faces' were there - -_- So not so many different people got to see him in an intimate gig then. I've more or less given up hoping.

Me too. If he was there for a week's residency they'd still be there every night but as they say That's Life, perhaps a song suggestion for Will. :rolleyes:

This has been a bone of contention for some time now... :angry: I sadly can't get to any of Wills Summer Festivals..so would have LOVED to get to see WILL at the 606.. :)

 

The same faces were there...Hoping Will , will appear at the 606 again so that, just maybe we will have a chance... :( Am I hoping against hope??? :angry:

 

That Aside....I have enjoyed reading the reports..What A Wonderful night everyone had... :dance:

Nothing changes they don't even have any respect for Will.....what hope do his fans have <_<

I haven't yet read the reports from the 606, but so pleased to see on here that it was a wonderful evening.

 

As for the same faces at these intimate gigs (and I might add at a lot of the other gigs), I don't think things will ever change. :( Which is a shame for all the other thousands of fans who don't even get the chance. I've seen and heard some of the things some fans get up to, to get tix, or just to see him, which makes the mind boggle. :o

I think these are for Will because they have him as the performer on all of them.

Oh I see Sunday. Misunderstood your post. I take it then that these have also written for SEB, Dido & Kylie. I think we've heard Biff Stannard talking about Dreams so maybe he's producing that one.

WILL Young says there may be some nerves when he headlines Newton Abbot's inaugural South Devon Festival this summer.

Speaking exclusively to the Herald Express from Los Angeles, the former Exeter University student who now has a home in Cornwall said: "I get really nervous for one-off things because you can't get into a rhythm. When I haven't done it for a while I panic.

"Then I quickly realise that it's fine. I do get nervous, but I think that is fine.

"You've got to work at your craft and keep on top of your game. Every performance matters. If you do one bad performance, that can be a major chink in the armour.

 

"That's definitely the way I see it. You just can't give a bad performance.

"You've got to push yourself and try and take yourself to higher heights. An actor friend of mine said that you should always being aiming for the Oscar or Emmy with your performance. You might never get it, but you should be aiming for it anyway."

Will, who shot to fame on TV's Pop Idol, is headlining the one-day event at Newton Abbot Racecourse on July 24.

Also scheduled to appear are The Quails, Ella Edmondson, The Normals, Demon Barber Road Show, Ade Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds, Joey the Lips and the Wurzels.

"Funnily enough, the first ever solo gig I did was in Devon," Will recalled.

"What is great about the outdoor gigs is that you can do all the old songs and mix it up a bit — do all the old covers and some of the new songs too.

"I've been working up in London on them, so you can throw those in too.

"Outdoor gigs leave you a bit freer to explore things musically. So obviously there will be all the old songs, but also we can have fun and find some really interesting covers."
