Will Young has revealed that he plans to release his new album this summer.

 

The singer and actor, whose last full studio album was 2008's Let It Go, confirmed that he will put out a follow-up in July.

 

He told The One Show: "I'm still singing, I'm back to doing the album and that's coming out in July."

 

Discussing his new TV show, the supernatural drama Bedlam, the 'Your Game' star, added: "It's exciting. There's quite a lot of auditions I don't get!"

 

Young recently promised his next record would have an "upbeat" feel, and is said to be working with The Shapeshifters.

 

Great news about The Hits too TT - he'd dropped out the last time I checked.

JUST SWITCHED ON "DAYBREAK" AND TTHEY WERE SPEAKING ABOUT THE BRITS. AVRIL LAVIGNE (SPELLING?) WAS BEING INTERVIEWED. APPARENTLY SHE IS PRESENTING....THEN WILL WAS MENTIONED AS GOING TO BE THERE....ADRIAN CHILDS SAID "HE'S A NATIONAL TREASURE".

Just finished watching Avril on daybreak, she sang WTH and also did an interview as well, sorry couldn't record this but i'm sure it will appear on youtube soon, during the interview the presenters asked Avril about the brits, and she confirmed that she will indeed attend tonight!

 

She said she is presenting at the event with Will Young, didnt mention about preforming though
