Thanks munchkin. Knew Will would admire Adele's understated performance, like a lot of his performances. Both have the voice to carry off superb vocals with just a piano acompaniment.

Looks like he's blagged a pass for his friend's daughter. At least he got something for his time.

Yep. There are upsides as well as the downsides. :D

If Will had been lucky enough to perform in the past and had done a performance like that he would have been criticised for being boring - just as David Grey was when he did the same thing. Sometimes less is definitely a whole lot more as we know from his own tours and gigs.

Couldn't see the fuss around Mumford and Sons though :???:

This is the second time he's been at a universal bash isn't it?

Seems Will just opted for the bigger bash  The Sony party looks to have been pretty low key & attended by mainly X Factor contestants.
Simon Fuller has now gone with Universal to distribute and promote American Idol so it's likely that Will could move to them. Sony now promote Cowell's lot don't they.

Yes...here's the article...exciting.

Universal Music Group (UMG) has signed a long-term agreement with 19 Entertainment founder Simon Fuller, creator of TV talent show American Idol, replacing Sony which had been the show's recorded music partner for the last nine years.

The deal sees UMG’s sub-labels, Interscope, Geffen and A&M market, promote and distribute the albums from the show's finalists' across the world through a range of retail and new media platforms.

Fuller says he wanted to put more power and weight behind the show which has been running now for 10 years. He adds, “We have been quietly delivering hits for nine seasons and Lucian Grainge and Jimmy Iovine's ambition, commitment, and determination to push the boundaries and go even further with Idol was very compelling.”

Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge adds, “ Pairing the renowned expertise of Simon and Jimmy Iovine (Chairman & CEO, Interscope Geffen A&M) in developing and marketing musical talent creates a truly winning combination that will allow 'Idol's' artists to realise their fullest potential."

Since its debut in 2001, ‘America Idol’ has been responsible for selling more music than any other TV show in history, with over 100 million albums in North America alone and over 160 million songs on iTunes.

Thanks Sunday. Will ever the diplomat. Nice of Adele to single Will out for a mention.
