Funny that's the very word I used in my comment under the YouTube clip. Master of his craft, no one comes close.

Hope you don't mind me bringing this over munchkin.

josephrossMD: #ff @will_young31 fabulous pure voice, had an amazing 5yrs as his musical director.CDUK acoustic performance of leave right now still TOPS! ☺

Great to read Joseph's comment even though they are no longer a team. Bet he misses the live, organic work he did with Will. Must be soul destroying for a musician working with auto-tuned acts. Will always made sure his earlier band was very much part of his shows (sometimes showcasing them to much) not relegated to merely backing musicians in a show more about costume changes than live singing.

Radio One live lounge are releasing another best off.. and Will's on there again with Hey Ya.

BBC Radio 1 will release a 'Best Of The Live Lounge' album next month, on 6th June.

The album will include an unreleased Leona Lewis song, as well as contributions from Foo Fighters, Plan B, Lady GaGa, Florence & The Machine and Kylie Minogue.

Each of the forty tracks have been taken from the Radio 1 Live Lounge sessions, which originally started a decade ago under Jo Whiley and are now hosted by Fearne Cotton.

Cover versions featured include Arctic Monkeys covering Girls Aloud's 'Love Machine', and Will Young covering Outkast's 'Hey Ya!'.

Thanks Bev.

They couldn't leave off the best cover ever done. :)

I'm over Will's lack of support from radio 1 but it's such a pity he isn't invited to the Live Lounge any more given the stunning interpretations he's performed on there in the past. :(

It's Leona's LL version of Run that is on the abum.

It's like a totally new song to the original. So many artists just cover the song without re-working it....oh well it's radio 1's loss.

And this is interesting:

Will hopes that he will soon be able to announce when he will be getting back on the stage Photo: Geoffrey Swaine/Rex Features

Although some of the critics were scarcely encouraging to Will Young when he made his stage debut in The Vortex at the Royal Exchange in Manchester four years ago, the Pop Idol winner is plucking up the courage to tread the boards once more.

"I have been in discussions about going on the stage again, and hope it is something I will be able to announce before too long," he told me at the St Regis International Cup at Cowdray Polo Park.

Doubtless he has picked up a few acting tips from Ralph Fiennes. Young produced a documentary about Fiennes's film version of Coriolanus, which was shot in Serbia. "There is an exceptional passion to his acting," Young says of Fiennes.

Of the reviews for The Vortex, Young said that, while a sensitive man, he was "strangely unaffected" even by the negative ones. The man from The Sunday Telegraph suggested that his "bawdy" performance seemed to be inspired less by Noël Coward, the play's author, than the film Carry On Camping.

Trust the Telegraph to quote their own nasty review

He did mention that he had something possibly lined up for 2012 - maybe it's this.

It's music first for me as well, especially right now after such a huge gap between studio albums.

Acting's OK when he's between albums, but I'm a tad worried that Bedlam, if it gets a second series, could interfere with some of the promotion or even a tour of this album. :(

Don't worry. I'm sure he'll tour with the new music. We don't usually have dates before we have an album date, except for The Hits Tour, which coincided with the release?

No news then? any news will do and I want a new music clip or something. http://www.sheknows.com/graphics/emoticons/pacing.gif

It's just the waiting TT, I'm getting less patient as I get older, I've definitely read a pile of books and watched some good films, I suppose we won't have time for anything when Will returns though.
