Robbie Williams has reportedly asked for Gary Barlow's opinion on his latest album.

The former Take That star invited his ex-bandmate to give his verdict on Reality Killed The Video Star at his LA home.

A source told The Mirror: "With so much riding on Robbie's comeback, he knew Gary would tell him the truth."

It was recently reported that Williams wants to work with Take That.

Speaking at the launch of Beverly Knight's new album, band member Jason Orange said: "We really hope he rejoins us."

I don't believe that for a minute. I mean ... I believe they hung out together and probably had a few beers ... but I doubt Robbie Williams would ask Gary for advice on his songs at all. And, I know for a fact when they've hung out before, Gary has said ... they NEVER discuss music. I think they talk about football, soaps, reality tv, but never music.

I odnt believe it either apart from having the beers, but what i liked about seeing this story is we are now heading into robbie's time after it being take that for so long, and the press have started positively by making sound like they get on so well and are united rather than using a story like gary is jealous of robbiels new album.

The story reported i dont mind at all, as its harmless foder which doesnt reflect negatively on any party and the press keep it that way i would be happy enough with that.

You'e right about that and hopefully it stays that way. Take That have been very positive about Robbie the last few years so I really hope that he does the same! Am very dubious though on Jason supposedly saying AGAIN that he hope Robbie rejoins them. I would hope that the lads are all as bored of the will he won't he subject as I and I think most people are.

I don't believe for a minute they'll ever get on stage together ... not even for a one-off. It suits both parties for the possibility to be merely 'talked about' ... it never needs to happen. I do think that Gary will ask Rob to take part in the Royal Albert Hall gig he's organising for CIN ... but I don't even think they'll sing one song together.

I appreciate that Rob is being civil to them ... but I think when his album kicks off and he's number one again around the globe (apart from the States that is) he may slip back into the 'Take That are crap' phase (I must admit ... I'm half hoping he does - even I find it funny now).

No i cant ever see them performing together on stage again and in truth i dont want them to either. I cant see robbie going down that slagging road again, as regardless of the success of the album he knows at the moment take that are the golden boys of the press so he wont muscle in there. Likewise they are all slowly building friendships with him and regardless of what happened i think robbie wanted to be mates with mark(more so than the others) so he wont put mark in the middle again.

Yeah he probably won't be able to contain the nastiness for much longer and I agree with you I kind of hope he does start it up again  . It certainly won't go down the same way it did before!

I don't think he'll be able to help himself. And ... I can, to a point, see why his fans like it. But to be honest ... no matter what he does ... TT fans will always love him. I'm certain the guy could commit murder and the majority of TT fans would say 'well he must have had good reason'

Anyway ... as much as I dislike the bloke ... its the lesser of two evils when he reaches number 1 with Bodies. Although its not very good ... it is marginally better than Alexandra Burke's song (his only competition that week). And I'd rather the money was going in Rob's pockets than Simon Cowell's. Mind you ... have you heard Leana's new single? I bet both Rob and Alexandra are pleased she ain't releasing the same week. Although I'm sure being paid by the same paymaster ... Alexandra already knew she was safe.

Being honest i havent heard either of the 3 songs yet but from i have read Leona has a huge hit with her release as its getting great reviews, are robbie and alexandra out the same week?? IFf so it could be a tough battle for number 1 but i think alexandra will beat him, it will be very much like rule the world up against bleeding love.

I think Rob'll beat her. As bad as Bodies is ... its a little better than Alexandra's. Leona's Happy - is wonderful. It is way, way better than Bleeding Love so it should, quite rightly, be at number one for a few weeks at least.

Leona's is out about three weeks after Rob and Alex. I've heard it a few times now and I do like it.

Will have to check it out so. Have heard Alex's one and although it's not really my cup of tea it's not as bad as I thought it would be. In fact for some reason the chorus has been going around my head all day! Have just read a tweet from Mike Stevens that says that the TT rehearsals are going well and he thinks that the recording will be great. Wonder what they could be recording?!

Surely its too early to be rehearsing for the RAH gig ... maybe they're working on some re-mixes of songs for a deluxe Circus CD. Although I must admit I didn't think they'd bother with a deluxe this time - they've got that two volume book coming out and the Circus Tour DVD ... that'll be enough to keep the fans happy for a while.

I love Mike Stevens though ... he is one seriously talented fella! He plays quite a few instruments ... and all of them brilliantly.

I'm off to Liverpool to try and get Arctic Monkeys tickets from the Box Office at the Echo Arena. I'm not giving any bloody booking fees to Ticketmaster if I can help it! I'm hoping I'll be able to get tickets as they will have gone on sale the day before!

I'm way behind the times. I didn't even know that Cheryl had a single recorded!

That's exactly what I thought. Am sure we'll find out soon enough though.

Good luck with the tickets

I think I've finally pissed everyone off at the Take That official site. I've just posted that they're all getting on my frigging nerves (which they are) my god ... Take That aren't boring but the fans on the Official Site could get nominated for 'most boring fans of the year' award any day! The latest is they're peed off that Girls Aloud's TV Special got nominated for a NTA Award and Take That didn't. I pointed out that although the Take That show may have been better (and it is all a matter of opinion I suppose) they did pull in over two million more viewers than Take That. Well ... if there were virtual stones they would have thrown them at me!

You've guessed ... I like winding people up ... even the Official Site Take That fans!

Iris - if you're reading this ... go in and tell me what they say about me ... I can't go in as I'll only post something even more inflammatory!

Hey Norma, I went over and had a look at the Official TT site. I am guessing you are Gloria? If so, I must say that you are brilliant. You do have them riled up alright! I love it! I registered on that site awhile ago but I have never posted out of fear. I am sure I would say the wrong thing. You are right in that it is an incredibly boring site. Thanks for keeping things interesting.

Haha must go and have a look! I have to say that I did enjoy the Take That show but I couldn't care less about an NTA award.
