Use seetickets. That's probably got the best server etc.

BUT it's the most popular/well-known site so it crashes a fair amount. Is proper infuriating trying to get Leeds Festival tickets - like this year I was gonna be charged like £1400 all because their site f***ed up. @D

Ooohh :heehee: I think I might just ring up 9.00am on Friday through the NIA phoneline, it's all the same tickets really I guess?

Arctic Monkeys star Alex Turner has admitted that he watched Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears and Beyoncé's arena shows as inspiration for his group's upcoming tour.

The frontman confessed that he was not an expert on playing arenas and claimed that he was impressed with Minogue's concert style.

"I'd never even been to a gig in an arena. But recently, knowing we've got this coming up I've been trying to dip my toe into that. So I've seen Britney Spears at The O2, I saw Kylie the other week, and we went to see Beyoncé in Japan - to try and see how it pans out," he told NME. "And so those are the only gigs in arenas I've ever been to, apart from like WWF Wrestling when I was six, but that doesn't really count.

"There's not gonna be circus performers or bass solos. Beyoncé had an all-girl band and one of them was doing these daft bass solos. No, there's not gonna be any horn sections. But you can't try and be all coy about it with something that big. I think to some degree you can't hold back. That's what I've learnt from those three anyway. Kylie was terrific, by the way."

When asked about his favourite Minogue track, the Sheffield singer added: "I quite like that one from the newer breed. Is it called 'Slow'? It's quite low for her, she's not as high as she normally is. And she dropped into the Nick Cave one, the wild roses

They were well good in Sheffield. I was pleased they did as many as they did from 'Humbug', I think it's a really underrated album. Delighted they played some of my less obvious favourites; 'Still Take You Home' and 'This House Is A Circus'. I would've killed for them to do 'Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweethearts' though, still I can't complain too much, even 'Mardy Bum' made an appearence....

Seeing them Friday :D Although I'm a bit worried as my tickets still haven't come yet

Oh my dayz. I would have jizzed in my pants had they done that at Leeds. Well jealous. Definitely sounds like I should have gone to the tour, seems like there were proper fans there as opposed to the more casual fans, so in turn, more atmosphere!

:D!

It was awsome. I've not been to many gigs but I think it was definitely the best. Didn't see Eagles of Death Metal though, got there 1 1/4 before Monkeys came on and they'd already been and gone...

Just got back from the NIA :D

Was fukking amazing! Loved every bit!! Managed to get really near to the stage, and the crowd atmosphere was pretty sick. And took some pretty good video's also which I'll try and upload.

Disappointed that I missed the encore (had to get the train, it was the last one, so I missed Fluorescent Adolescent  and 505 I think?), and Eagles of Death Metal where LOLworthy. But apart from that, still had a really good night :D

Really want to see them again!

I've just got back from Manchester and I ditto what Josh said.

Absolutley epic. Great setlist, crowd atmosphere was insane, really amazing. The fluorescent Adolescent/Mardy Bum mix was FABULOUS and Eagles were brilliant as expected. My only slight complaint comes from Alex's real lack of stage presence... I think he said more than 5 words to the crowd in one go just once. But I already knew that so no surprises, still a great night :D

Arctic Monkeys played the largest gig of their current UK and Ireland tour in Manchester last night (November 21).

The Sheffield band gave a nod to Rod Stewart during the MEN Arena show, with frontman Alex Turner singing the chorus of the former Faces man's 1978 hit 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?' during 'Crying Lightning'.

The set, which followed the same running order as on previous dates of the tour, featured eight songs from their most recent chart-topping album 'Humbug'.

The likes of 'My Propeller' and new single 'Cornerstone' were warmly received by the crowd and inspired huge singalongs, while set closer 'Secret Door' ended with a ticker tape explosion.

However, the biggest cheers were reserved for tracks from their debut album 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not', such as 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' and 'The View From The Afternoon'.

Songs from the band's second album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare', such as Brianstorm' and 'This House Is A Circus', were also given an airing.

The band kept chat to a minimum during the show, other than Turner thanking the crowd for turning out "on this Saturday night in Manchester".

During the encore, the band spliced fan favourites 'Fluorescent Adolescent' and 'Mardy Bum', before closing the evening with '505', which saw their fifth live member and keyboardist John Ashton play guitar and leave Turner to stalk the stage.

Arctic Monkeys played:

'Dance Little Liar'

'Brianstorm'

'This House Is A Circus'

'Still Take You Home'

'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor'

'Sketchead'

'My Propeller'

'Crying Lightning'

'Potion Approaching'

'The View From The Afternoon'

'Cornerstone'

'If You Were There, Beware'

'Pretty Visitors'

'The Jeweller's Hands'

'Do Me A Favour'

'When The Sun Goes Down'

'Secret Door'

'Fluorescent Adolescent'

'Mardy Bum'

'505'

They didn't play Sketchead :heehee:

Yeah it's not a very good article tbh. I mean they didn't play Mardy Bum in full did they? Yet according to that article they played the full song! pfff.
