The star, who voiced several characters in children's puppet show Thunderbirds, passed away at a hospital on Australia's Gold Coast on Monday after suffering a brain haemorrhage, according to Contactmusic. Barrett began his acting career when he left his homeland to travel to England in 1957, securing his first major role in drama series Emergency - Ward 10 and subsequently long-running BBC show The Troubleshooters. He went on to voice characters in two of Gerry Anderson's famous puppet series - Thunderbirds and Stingray. Barrett also found fame in his native Australia after starring in several TV shows, including Burn the Butterflies, Golden Soak and Something in the Air. He was awarded the Australian Film Institute Longford Life Achievement Award in 2005. ill always remember him from the 60's drama 'the troubleshooters' (aka 'mogul')
