ok... anyone want to volunteer to run the '20 years ago' thread and the 'ten years ago 'thread?, its not that i cant be arsed but in reality my knowlege/liking for what was going on 20 (1989) and ten (1999) years ago isnt that great and i think these threads would be better run by someone who knows/likes what was happening then..

 

all thats required is posting a weekly chart from ten/twenty years ago and commenting on what was happening, plus albums IF you want and snippets of infor taken from 'on this day in music history' (link in resources).

do you want to do the ten years ago thread? or both? (thought grebo or richie might like twenty years ago... they seem more clued up then me...but nowts decided yet)

 

it can start as soon as we agree... a weekly chart plus commentary (esp on new entries) plus any info from 'on this day in music history' ... the idea of these threads is to try to re-live events from the past as they happened.

well a degree of inpartiality would be needed...lol.. but you know alot about the emerging indie scene with the madchester crowd soon to play a big part in the charts...

 

theres also the us rap scene which was quite big...
