Posted September 11, 200915 yr A mockumentary about the Arctic Monkeys will be released in October. "Le Donk and Scor-zay-zee" - a scripted documentary about a white rapper who is trying to get a support slot at an Arctic Monkeys concert in Manchester, north west England - premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival in June. Vocalist Alex Turner, guitarist Jamie Cook, bassist Nick O'Malley and drummer Matt Helders all appear in the film. It will be released in selected UK cinemas on October 9, with a worldwide DVD release to follow on October 26. The film is helmed by "This Is England" director Shane Meadows and stars Paddy Considine, a British actor who appeared in the music video for the group's 2006 hit "Leave Before The Lights Come On". The Arctic Monkeys third studio album - entitled "Humbug" - was released last month. The LP went straight to number one in the UK and Ireland, selling more than 190,000 copies in its first week.
September 11, 200915 yr I've heard about this before. Sounds interesting. But I rememeber when I first heard about the film there was something I didn't like about it, but I can't remember what that was. Weirdd.
