Super Ex-Girlfriend Uma Thurman is a superhero who makes the life of her boyfriend (Luke Wilson) a living hell when he unwisely dumps her. Friday 11th August Nacho Libre Jack Black plays a priest who must moonlight as a Mexican wrestler - or luchador - to save an orphanage from closure in the new comedy from Jared Hess, the director of Napoleon Dynamite. Harsh Times Christian Bale stars as a man slipping back into a world of petty crime in a gritty LA drama from Training Day scribe David Ayr. Monster House Steve Buscemi, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Napoleon Dynamite himself, Jon Heder, are some of the fantastic cast putting themselves up for The Polar Express-style stop-motion capture in a ho-hum tale about a haunted house. Little Miss Sunshine Steve Carell, Toni Collette and Greg Kinnear headline a darkly delicious comedy about the Hoover family and their efforts to ensure their daughter wins a surreal beauty pageant. Friday 18th August Sin City 2 Robert Rodriguez returns with yet more hard-boiled noir ripped straight from the pages of Frank Miller's graphic novels. A Scanner Darkly Richard Linklater gets out his high-tech drawing pencils from Waking Life for an animated take on Philp K Dick's sci-fi tale. Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder and Robert Downey Jr star.
