  1. I don't particularly like Carti but I see quite a bit of unnecessary hostility on here towards almost any rap song & artist that does well on the charts. If it was purely directed towards Carti I probably wouldn't have said anything lol
  2. imagine how different the reactions on here would be if the positions were swapped and someone said "If it weren't for Carti, we'd be having some shitty country song going #1" lol
  3. I do find it very funny that on US Spotify the thing keeping Drake from the top spot is 4 separate Kendrick songs
  4. would be incredible to see kendrick going #1 whether it's this week or next week (hopefully both tbh). long overdue his first #1, and his tracks are absolutely miles better than everything else at the upper end of the chart currently imo lol
  5. about what I expected from CRG, figured it would do similar to Money Talks (Fredo ft. Dave). People expecting the numbers of a Dave x Cench track when this is a Cench ft. Dave track, and that ordering does make a difference. CRG doesn't even show on Dave's Spotify page, and those following Dave on Spotify didn't get a notification for this track's release (unless they're also following Cench obvs). Dave also hasn't posted anything about it on his Twitter or IG as far as I can tell.
  6. And because it's a better song lol. Or rather, a song that a higher portion of The Weeknd's fanbase are more likely to vibe with. More of a hip-hop/r&b style rather than a synthpop style.
  7. hard agree on YNMIDNY. at least he still performs it at shows. think it's really just his biggest streaming hits though with maybe a couple exceptions (looking at Afterglow) and unfortunately YNMIDNY doesn't fall into that category - 184,986,840 Spotify streams currently, less than half of even the lowest on there Bloodstream (when factoring in the remix with 56m streams)
  8. hardly any different than all the other greatest hits albums permanently lodged in the top 20 then lol. maybe because it's Ed Sheeran doing it this time they'll finally change the rules and banish them all to the compilations chart.
  9. got curious so I added up all the current spotify streams of Ed Sheeran's Mathematics album (greatest hits compilation coming out 27/09) - 29.9bn streams in total currently. anyone know how this compares to the likes of The Highlights or Curtain Call?
  10. Sprinter was 2 years after Dave's last album tbf but was just over 1 year after his previous #1 of Starlight
  11. went with Labour 350-399, Conservative 100-199, Lib Dem 25-49. think current projections of Labour nearing 500 and Tories in double digits aren't very realistic, though I would love to see the Tories reduced to nothing.
  12. will be interesting to see if Dave's (likely) album release this year does better or worse than his 2021 album
  13. absolutely stunned at the streaming numbers at the top of the chart currently. when was the last time that the top 6 all did 700k+ or the top 9 all did 500k+ on Spotify completely independently of each other (I add that stipulation because of course album bombs and xmas are different scenarios)? has it ever happened before?
  14. shame that when we get a great rap song doing numbers that would normally easily be enough for #1, there's another song doing even bigger numbers lol. happy for kendrick regardless, and it is cool to see all the top songs doing such big numbers at the moment
  15. she's one of the biggest artists in the world lol i'm a big fan but she's hardly underrated
