Yes, but there’s been many of those though, and only Mr. Brightside racks up these numbers. It’s simply a perfect cross-generational song

Motorcycle Emptiness! That’s fantastic to see 😀 I’m wondering when the Resistance is Futile album will get certified Silver? It should be really close. Great seeing Drinking in L.A getting Gold too

I love this thread, I check it every week!
  4. Only good songs left, but You Still Get Me High it is
  5. Exactly this! Tension II won’t be a successful album per se, but as a substitute for a Tension Tour Edition, it does exactly what it was meant to.
  6. Based on the numbers in the overview, Tension has sold 3500 since mid-August. Almost certainly Gold by Xmas.

  8. It is a bit disappointing (I’m always surprised at how successful Disco actually was – and deservedly so), so I hope they will learn from this roll-out. But then again, Tension II replaced a Super Extra Bonus Deluxe edition of Tension, and in doing so gave her more publicity and probably and extra 30k in sales. At this point, unless there is an unlikely viral moment, it’s all about the tour, before a new – and more anticipated – album cycle begins in spring 2026. We’ll all be hungry for more by then
  9. So 28 800 in today’s first look. Not surprising, but it seems to be very front loaded.
  10. Haha, I really like Night Owl 😄 40k+ in first-week sales would be amazing
  11. The album was exactly what I expected; perfectly fine pop music, having a good time listening to it. But it’s clear that it’s more of a bonus record to promote the tour and having fingers crossed for a hit. Definitely one of her weaker releases, though some of these songs are great (Someone For Me!)
  12. #35 on the UK Airplay chart. Also, seen that EOSN is finally going to be playlisted on R1 this Friday
  13. Grrr… Annoying! Not too surprised though, and the tour sales seem to be going really well. Let’s not forget, that even without hit singles, her albums have all been successful post KMO. Both Golden and Disco are at 150 000+, and Tension, which actually generated a smash hit, is the one that isn’t gold yet. She’s doing just fine 37 years into her career 😁
  14. It’s true that she’s playing it quite safe these days, hoping to get that second crossover hit. The thing is, Kylie has always been surprisingly daring with her music; releasing Slow as the lead single after a world conquering album, her 90’s output, going country inspired before country was cool – when in need of a comeback. Heck, even Padam is a weird song in some ways. And this is both the reason why her career has had ups and downs, and why she’s had the longevity she’s had. That’s why I’m not sure the more generic songs will hit as hard as they hope. I can’t blame her/her team for trying though, and I’m not complaining: LAC is very good, and is perfect for a live setting 🙂
  15. Done my fair share of streams already, but time for bed 😅 The song is good – fun, catchy and short. Fingers crossed for… Top 30?
