I really liked this one! Strange throwback comparison but it reminded me of Bear’s Den who used to get Radio 1 playlisted a bit back in the day?!

1 CHAPPELL ROAN 2 LILY ALLEN (always loved this growing up despite obvs not being able to relate to the lyrics) 3 KESHA (can’t wait to hear this one live in a couple weeks!) 4 NELLY FURTADO (always thought she sounds so iconic on this) 5 KELLY CLARKSON 6 DELTA GOODREM 7 FKA TWIGS 8 ROSALIA 9 LISA

1 HAIM (always loved this and the iconic walking music video. Maybe my fav ever HAIM song? It’s my most played!) 2 THE CORRS (also my fave song by this artist, Ive played it every summer since I discovered it) 3 FLORENCE (a Rare win for recent Florence for me. Poppier than all the rest of the album.) 4 ABBA (a classic, always reminds me of Julie Walters in mamma mia) 5 BLONDIE 6 ATOMIC KITTEN 7 SCISSOR SISTERS (Obvs a gay classic but I’ve always found it more irritating than camp, like most of their stuff tbh) 8 ERASURE 9 THE CHICKS A round featuring three UK #1s at this early stage shows how competitive everything is for the groups!

I’m worried for Atomic Kitten here , I wonder if the Chicks can continue to defy the odds and just about slip through another round. I’ve always loved that Haim track!! And it’s nice for a song to get a bit of love from a different era of theirs. That Corrs song is my fave of all their songs too. Smashing choice!!!!!!

Picking between the Conan choice and the Troye choice is like a Sophie’s Choice to me!!! Going to have to sit on that for a while. Both are sooo underrated within the artist’s discographies.

Yay for ‘After Midnight’ and ‘Red Flag’ both getting picked after I said I wanted them last round. Chappell has done very well to keep her big hitters to the side for later on. I wonder if she could be win competitive because of that?!

1 FLORENCE (This was the right choice imo but I also adore South London Forever) 2 HAIM (I’d have liked to see ‘Spinning’ or ‘3Am’ get some love here) 3 THE CORRS 4 ABBA (I don’t know of many ABBA album tracks but this was one of my instant faves from Voyage, so great choice) 5 ATOMIC KITTEN 6 BLONDIE 7 SCISSOR SISTERS 8 1975 9 ERASURE 10 THE CHICKS

1 KESHA (‘Cannibal’ feels like a single because of how well-known it is. I’d also have loved to see ‘RED FLAG’ from her most recent era but I know that recently got a promo video so maybe wouldn’t fit the criteria) 2 KELLY CLARKSON 3 LILY ALLEN (so many possible choices for this round, my personal underrated fave would be ‘Take My Place’) 4 FKA TWIGS (I’d have loved for those unfamiliar with Twigs to discover ‘Striptease’ or ‘Girls Feels Good’ so hopefully they’re to come still) 5 DELTA GOODREM 6 CHAPPELL ROAN (hopefully saving ‘After Midnight’ for another round, which would’ve been the better choice here surely) 7 NELLY FURTADO 8 ROSALIA (actually quite pretty, I’ll give her credit for this one too) 9 LISA 10 TONI BRAXTON

If I was Chappell, I’d have gone for After Midnight, as that’s in my top three of ALL her songs.

I’d love to hear Eye of the Night from Conan! I think it could be another winnnerrrrr

So shocked by Ace of Base!!! They had so much more to give so it’s a huge shame too. This next round is made for FKA Twigs so lucky person who’s behind her. If it were me, I’d pick ‘Striptease’ or ‘Girl Feels Good’.
