I can see the appeal, but it veers a little too close to Ava Max faceless territory for me — whereas everything she's released so far has felt incredibly Jade. I hope it's a hit — she deserves it all, and we deserve a fantastic pop album asap

It's extremely nineties Shania Twain/The Chicks, so I'll give it to her for fully committing to the bit — the hooks are hooking. It's not for me though.

Oh, I don't want to discredit 'Scared of the Dark' because it was very Steps — for me this is different because it's as current as it is them. It sounds like it belongs in 2025.
