  1. That is some jump in points to 1st, but not surprising really - 'Stan' is a one of a kind hit, and in the context of being a Christmas #3, it's amazing that it was able to pull such strong sales in that market. Thanks Julian and gasman for running this!
  2. Just voted for Bruno this week

'Dreams' still above 'Landslide' despite the latter now having a higher peak officially.
  4. Another weekday means more new peaks for Olivia: #26 A Couple Minutes #34 Ok Love You Bye
  5. Thought it would be interesting to track new entries / peaks on the Audio Streaming chart for songs either on ACR or starred out. Last week the only ones were 'Every Breath You Take' and 'Upside Down', both of which were reset this week (as well as peaking again). This week (new entries in red): 32 Olivia Dean - Let Alone The One You Love [re-peak] 34 Olivia Dean - The Hardest Part 40 Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World 52 Olivia Dean - I've Seen It 60 Olivia Dean - Ok Love You Bye 66 She & Him - I Thought I Saw Your Face Today 69 KATSEYE - Gabriela 75 Fleetwood Mac - Silver Springs 95 Billy Joel - Piano Man 96 The Cure - Boys Don't Cry
  6. Voted for A.G. Cook, sim0ne and Tourist in the main poll, and gave Overmono their first in the tiebreak. Thanks Doctor B and Kath for running these polls throughout 2025!
  7. Voted for the song I'd playlisted before seeing this poll, from DJ Seinfeld
  8. Just adding to the Fleetwood Mac landslide this week.
  9. 'Girl' is one of my favourite Beatles songs! It didn't do very well in the Beatles rate a couple of years ago though. 'Shopping' sprang to mind for me too. Same for me, though my favourite on the album is 'Roads' which would also have fit the theme had it not been entered and finished third in a previous edition of these contests!
  10. I didn't get that impression either. Maybe the mods have some stats on this sort of thing? Perhaps it's better not to share them though
  11. 'Grace Kelly' was a great quirky stomper as the first new #1 in the era when any download could chart. Now 66 was the last NOW album I bought and this was certainly one of the attractions, being the disc 1 opener. I'm not too keen on either of the songs before it here though. In the original mix of 'Beautiful Liar', I feel like the song and backing don't always go, as if they're on two different chords - and whereas the Freemasons remix irons that out, it loses the atmosphere from it, so I don't get much out of either version. 'Shine' was a good choice of follow-up to 'Patience' to showcase a different side to the newly reformed band, but I'm afraid it grates a little for me, both in the verse lyrics (well-meaning but just a little clunky) and the vocals on the title itself - the Morrisons ads didn't help with that. I like everything that remains in the top 3, but have a clear order of preference, intrigued to see if yours is the same!
  12. Very happy with that outcome at the top. Coming after such a strong run of David Bowie albums, 'Let's Dance' doesn't hit me quite as much despite Nile Rodgers' expansive production. However 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart' is my favourite #1 of the year too, and I like how the song and its big production gradually build up to the "forever's gonna start tonight" bridge towards the end. Thanks Rollo for the countdown!
  13. Week 1: Agnes Week 2: Maya J’an - I'd playlisted this as one of the standouts from NMF without knowing anything about her and before I saw this poll. Wouldn't be surprised to see it in BJSC...
  14. Saint Etienne again I did wonder if someone might send that one. No one found a Pet Shop Boys song fitting the theme though!
  15. I much prefer the album version of 'Even Better Than The Real Thing' which reached #12, but had to give U2 some points nonetheless - Achtung Baby is their best album for me.
