JoJo Siwa attempts to participate in Eurovision again!
Imagine if Poland had gone ahead and sent her this year...guess she would've been too busy for that CBB stint to happen 👀

Some interesting stats from the past couple of days Carlos Alcaraz is now on the longest winning streak of his career (think it's 16 following today's victory at Queen's) - surprised that it's now, not at a time when he's world #1 Alexander Bublik's victory in Halle yesterday was the first time that Jannik Sinner has lost to someone not named Carlos Alcaraz since last August (although we must remember he had three months earlier this year when he didn't have the opportunity to be losing to anyone!), and the first time he's lost to someone ranked outside the top 20 since August 2023

What an intriguing chart run for "The Ballad of Wallis Island"! Has it been expanding into more cinemas, or just benefiting from really good word of mouth? Heard some great things about it, so might go and see it midweek!

So the women's final will be contested by the top 2 seeds - the last slam that happened at was the 2018 Australian Open, not as far back as I thought it might have been There's a strong chance it'll be the same in the men's draw. I'll be rooting for whoever comes through the Alcaraz vs. Musetti semi-final.

I wasn't able to get a pre-order, but I went onto the Argos website yesterday morning and was able to reserve one for collection later in the day, so Mario Kart World got played on launch day

Brilliant hold for Lilo & Stitch, and a great opening for The Salt Path (though you'd hope so with how much I've been seeing the trailer for MONTHS now)

Lithuania on Eurovision : 25 years
I think "Luktelk" is fine (overrated by fans, but I can still bop to it if it comes on), but yeah, the rest in this section are all dreadful. I'm surprised "We Are The Winners" made it as high as it did in your ranking, I would have it with this bottom lot. The very worst kind of novelty, comes off far too smug. I'd say my top 5 for Lithuania would be "I've Been Waiting For This Night", "Stay", "When We're Old", "Happy You" and "This Time" ("Attention" and "Little by Little" just missing out, they're both underrated) Would be happy to see Estonia and Latvia, or a ranking of any country from 2000 to 2025

No, seriously, you MUST be erasing "Even If" from memory now if Olly and Mae have both been. Agog (but not as appalled) that Electro Velvet have yet to appear either!

Big Fat Sue Ranks... All the Recent UK Entries! (2000-2025)
Just had a skim through to see things are placing. Engelbert is a fair enough choice for last, but I've not seen Andy Abraham pop up yet, so I assume that you correctly decided that he was so awful, he doesn't even deserve an acknowledgement at the bottom of the rankings?

Brilliant to see Cam Norrie and Jacob Fearnley both through to the third round, where they will face each other to guarantee that one is making it to the fourth round! (where they will most likely come up against Djokovic, but still a great result for whichever gets that far) Jack Draper's path to the quarters has cleared nicely with the other seeds in his section now all out..

Deserved a lot more as it was pretty funny, but I think promotion was pretty non-existent ☹️ I only knew of it as the poster caught my eye on the Cineworld website. Not seen any of the current top 10 now, and I can't say the big releases of Mission Impossible and Lilo & Stitch particularly interest me. Assuming the Wes Anderson name will be enough to get 'The Phoenician Scheme' perhaps around the #5 mark in the next chart though, and I might check that one out.

Didn't see the match, but the stats look a little crazy with Kasatkina being broken in every one of her service games! Been some encouraging results this clay court season, fingers crossed for a decent draw at the French Open to help it continue.

Eurovision - Juries vs. Televote debate
I don't consider Kaarija or Baby Lasagna to be gimmicky at all, they're just fun entries. The performance of 'Tattoo' could equally be described as "gimmicky" imo, with her sandwich press staging. Maybe the juries should vote on the songs 'blind', without knowing which entry belongs to which country (although in some cases, language would give a hint), or at least try to get jury members who aren't familiar with the entries already or know what the odds are, as I agree they might be influenced by odds in some cases - so take out jury members who are former contestants, and more likely to have followed the build-up to the contest. Idk, just something to refine how the juries work, as a jury vote is definitely still needed (and not just because the current vote presentation is great for the suspense). The vocal has always been low down on what matters to me (for an uptempo at least). I'm happy that it helped Remember Monday get a good jury haul this year, but I'm one of those people who does view it as a SONG contest more than anything else (although Switzerland succeeded with both for me, a really lovely entry. I can only think that the zero from the televote was down to the staging not giving enough audience connection) Tommy Cash, I will never understand his success this year as the song was trash as well. I'll give him the staging being good with the fake stage invasion, but was that really worth 200+ points from the public

Amazing to see an original movie like 'Sinners' performing so well, though it doesn't look like my kind of thing at all from the trailer. I feel so out of the loop at the minute as I've only seen one of the current top 10 ('The Penguin Lessons'). Probably won't be any better with the next chart as I'm going to see 'The Wedding Banquet' today, but it must be quite a low-key release if it's not even included in the list of openings for this week.
