Finland

 

On October 1st, Finland posted 30 songs on their Eurovision website. The Finnish public have voted, and it is now known which 3 out of those 30 will have a place in January's live heats:

Sister Twister - Love At The First Sight

3 songs with the most public votes will qualify from each heat. A jury will then select a 10th song to make the final from the non-qualified songs.

Wonder when the first live show of the Eurovision season will be.

Probably Albania's Festivali I Kenges (if they are entering...) That's ususally December. Great news about Finland, one of my fav Eurovision countires (bring back Jari Sillanpaa!)

Albania have confirmed thay are entering ESC 2010 :)

I have now listened to all 30 songs, and I have four favourites (so it's a shame that only three can make the heats). They are "Did I say that I loved you" (#6), "Fridays" (#12), "Love at the first sight" (#25) & "Ei Minua" (#30).

I must listen to them... is there anything good in Finnish? I love the Finnish language... Rakastaa :wub:

Actually I just realised where Sapmi is (from the Blank album title) :o

Anyone got any predictions about which 3 songs will make it to the heats? I think "Ei Minua" is the only one certain* to get to the heats.

 

*Well, I know none of them are 100% gonna make the heats, but it seems very popular.

Sweden

 

SVT has now announced the first wildcard for MF 2010, as....DARIN. Darin has provided vocals for the song "Breathing Your Love" with Kat DeLuna. His MF song is called "You're Out Of My Life".

 

The second wildcard for MF 2010 is...Salem al Fakir. His MF song is called "Keep On Walking".

 

Malena Ernman, who represented Sweden this year in Moscow, was one of the four wildcard's in this year's MF.

 

 

The winning song of the Web-joker competition is called "Come And Get Me Now"

 

 

On Monday 30th November & 7th December, SVT will be announcing the 30 acts who will take part in MF - 15 on each day!

Saara Aalto, AiA, Saga Bloom, Bääbs, Daisy Jack, Linn Nygård, Rock’n Roll Sensation, Geir Rönning, Sister Twister & Roni Tran are the current 10 leaders, as revealed by the Finnish broadcaster. (They are listed in a random order (order as they are on the Finnish ESC website?)).

Bulgaria

 

After failing to qualify for the second year in a row, Bulgaria are trying a different format for the way they select their 2010 entry. They have announced that Miro will be representing them in Oslo, and he shall sing five songs in their national selection. Below are a couple of examples of his work:

Germany

 

After some bad results, Germany is selecting their next entry using a pop idol format. It is called "Unser Star fur Oslo", and there is now a video clip showing a few of the auditions: http://tvtotal.prosieben.de/tvtotal/videos...tialTab=sendung

 

I recognized two songs, "Love Song" and...."Use Somebody". Yes, seems like King's Of Leon are a popular choice for auditionees in Germany too :heehee:

Bosnia-Herzegovina will be represented by Vukasin Brajic, with the song "Munja i grom". The song will be presented on March 7th.
