Kate Ryan & Soraya are looking into the possibility of doing a joint Eurovision entry together! I'm not filing this under a particular country, as they don't know which country they would represent.

FYR Macedonia

Two semi-finals & a final will take place in February. 14 songs in each semi-final, with a total of 8 making it to the final. The way I understand that, 4 will make it through from each semi-final.

A 6-member jury will have a 50% say, along with the tele-vote. Voting lines will open at the BEGINNING of each show, and close 15mins after the last song has been performed.

Iceland

150 songs have been submitted to RÚV. Rounds will take place on January 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th, with the final taking place on February 6th.

And this time...THEY WANT TO WIN!

I've also heard that Hera Bjork is trying her luck again. She was a backing singer for Euroband in 2008, and after coming close to flying the flag for Denmark in 2009, she went off to Moscow as a backing singer for Yohanna instead. Just to confirm, this time, she is trying the ICELANDIC selection, as the MAIN singer

In the Eurovision semi-final's and the final, the phone lines will now open at the beginning of the show and close 15mins after the last country has performed!

P.S. Sorry if this is old news, I've been on holiday and am now trying to catch up

That would be AMAZING  Belgium I would guess, it's the Flemmings year I think...

Shame about Estonia :(

I would guess Belgium, too. Doesn't the rules of their selection say it needs to be an instant hit? Well I think Kate Ryan & Soraya would be :D And I don't think Spain would want to send her two years in a row

I'm really happy about Darin, I love "Breathing Your Love". Not heard any of the songs yet, but at the moment, I either want Darin or "Tonight" (the song which has the same writing team as "Release Me"?) to get the ticket to Oslo.
Darin is  Glad he's in. But better, A1 are reforming for the Norwegian NF :w00t:

Liechtenstein

There had been rumours of Liechtenstein making it's debut in Oslo, but the country's only state TV station is no longer applying for EBU membership due to financial problems, and is looking into every possibility for ways to fund membership when it comes to December 2010.

12pts from the UK to Norway if A1 win MGP? Being a British/Norwegian band and all...BEN ADAMS FROM BIG BROTHER :D Anyone think there is still a chance of Angel representing the UK? Two Big Brother contestants in one Eurovision...my two favourite shows put together :w00t:

Boybands have never done well in ESC, not even when boybands were popular :( Let's hope this change this year and Norway take a 2nd win :kink:
Boybands are usually $h!t live that's why they don't do well. *remembers 'I Love You Mi Vida' and cringes*

I found the boyband in "Your Country Needs You" really bad :( But I think most ESC participants are female, aren't they? Which is why I find it strange how we've now had two male winners in a row...

Maria? "Hold On, Be Strong" was my favourite song in 2008, so I hope she's got a good song this time, and possibly makes it to Oslo
