Owing to financial difficulties, Montenegro has withdrawn from Eurovision 2010!

Certainly not true this year :P (though Serbia came 10th in semi-2 & Montenegro came 11th in semi-1)

 

But yes, for 2007 & 2008, Serbia was more talented

Aren't Azerbaijan supposed to be confirming their song sometime in November? I will officially start getting in proper Eurovision mode when this happens!

I'm actually looking forward to hearing azerbaijan's entry.

I didn't know if they were actually going to let us hear the song yet, or whether they were just going to reveal the singer...and maybe the song name. But I dunno really, I'm a bit confused by it. What I can guarantee is, that when they do let us hear the song, I'll post it here ;)

I just thought I'd look up what it will cost for me and my BF to go to Oslo next year. Flights, hotel (three nights, couldn't afford the whole week) but no show tickets - £540 MINIMUM :wacko:

I've heard (though it may not be true) that Turkey is selecting it's representative (but not the song) TOMORROW! Whether this means they are going to reveal the representative to the public or not, I'm not fully certain about. Just be prepared for news, or possibly nothing!

According to The Sun today, Gary Barlow will be writing a song for Duncan James for the UK this year... I can see the Gary Barlow bit being true, not so sure about Duncan James being the singer though! I think that could potentially work though, were it a good enough song. :o

That doesn't necessarily mean much, since no official announcement has been made so people tend to explicitly deny things before then.

 

However, since Jayne Collins casting were already advertising it seems a bit strange that they would select the singer internally...maybe Gary Barlow has agreed to do it under the condition that he knows who the singer will be or can have some hand in choosing himself.

 

Duncan James singing a Gary Barlow song wouldn't be the worst thing, although I fear we could get another ballad.

Me too, though I like Sure, and actually I think To Love Again would be a great Eurovision song, if not a spectacular pop song...
