Red Hot Chili Peppers - Tell Me Baby

http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/W726CD2.JPG

'Tell Me Baby' is the second single to be taken from Red Hot Chili Peppers' epic double-album 'Stadium Arcadium', which many critics believe to be the band's finest collection to date. Combining a sublime chorus that matches the best of the band's recent work with Flea's trademark frenetically free-flowing bass, 'Tell Me Baby' encapsulates the characteristics that have made the Chili Peppers one of the world's biggest bands. - HMV

its new in the uk charts at number 45 this week on download sales

and on dani california's 12th week on th echart it slips 1 place to number 38

in the albums

stadium arcadium is down 1 place to number 17

and the greatest hits jumps 21 places from numbe 62 to number 41

I never would have singled out Tell Me Baby as single worthy but I'm glad they did because it's grown on me a lot now. Like HMV says, it has got a great chrous.
Well from the small midweek info that we have so far we know Tell Me Baby is definately top 40. I'll add more information later when it is given.

What did Can't Stop get to? Was it something like 17?

They shoulda released Snow - that's a smash waiting to happen :D

cant stop only made number 22 in the uk

i just saw the phyisical sales chart alone for this week and if the chart was based on phyisical sales only tell me baby would be number 8 this week and not 16.

the chilli were definitly a band i thought that would have gained from downloads and not lost out

'Can't Stop' really deserved so much more, that's my favourite by them aswell.

Mine too! I can't believe it missed the Top 20, it's such a classic

#8 is exactly where I predicted 'Tell Me Baby' would end up, shame that downloads have made it drop.

cant tsop was worthy of a the top 10

zephyr song was also worthy of a higher place than numbe 11

under the bridge should have been an a number 1 in the same way its cover by all saints was

Pop and Indie do really well on downloads - but the album sold loads so not as many would've downloaded the song individually.

I was expecting it to chart in the top 10, but #16 isn't too bad I guess. Anyhow its album sales that really matter and "Tell Me Baby" will have helped "Stadium Arcadium" shift a few more copies :D
ya stadium arcadium has sold over 500,000 copies in the uk so far so it should do almost a million by the time all singles are released etc
  • 1 month later...

why this didnt do better bothers me,where were all the fans when it came to buying it,top 20 isnt justice to this

Well considering it was only the second single I did expect it to do slightly better. Especially after the booming success of Dani.

Personally I bought it on physical and download.
