hello. the results have been collated. every contestant (but one: as such dame shirley clamp would like to announce that she 'doesn't know' mezidinia, and neither will the bjsc next month.) has voted. the results will be presented in pretty format at some point this evening (the original beginning time of 7pm will not be met due to an executive meeting which has come up at the last meeting for semi-important matters), so spe~cul~ate*

*the symbolism of the above photograph

*who has claimed victory

*who will win the 'st joliver memorial award' for most contrary votes

*who will ceremonially sacrifice tirren if the results aren't up by midnight

*what time the results will actually start (at which point there will be at least 47 people reading the thread)

What..later than 7pm? The results will go on until midnight then... some have school too :P

 

Another question would be when the next contests confirmation would be open, this Sunday or next Monday?

This month will be the first test for my new position of being whole FOUR hours into the future.

As for the conformation opening, that's rather down to the host, but we'd like to keep it roughly on schedule for The Best Of BJSC XXXI-XL and the return of the BJSC Awards early next year :)

How does Best of.. work? :)

The dates aren't fixed yet, but we tend to try and have no more than 10 contests a year and since the idea of spin-offs seems to be as popular as a tumescent Cocozza the Best Of may well start in December. The format didn't really work last time (I think we tinkered with it too much) but basically you vote for the songs you like most from each contest and then they go into a big final (not an OBF though) and face off against each other to see who is the ultimate Queen of BJSC.

So the Best of.. contest is practically all the songs entered this year's contest? It's going to be hard then as I only joined mid year and have to catch up with a couple of contest's songs :P

I've already started doing that. :P Halfway through XXXV (with only XXXIV, XXXI, and XXXII to go, I've already got XXXIII; the mp3 packs back there were still working ^_^ ). I want to give everything a chance, and it's just discoveries, so I like doing it.

 

Also, those awards look v. interesting. I always like awards.

 

I'll need to start doing that sometime soon :P I do imagine the voting process will be longer as it consists of 10 contests songs... right?
