Posted March 12, 200718 yr Every week i'm going to post a new thread called "Pink through the years". In it we will start at the beginning (baby Pink) and eventually finish at present day. This week's thread is called Baby to Child. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u301/pinkprincess66613/baby%20pink/young_pink.jpg Alecia Beth Moore was born on 8th September 1979, in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, to parents James and Judy Moore. When the doctor handed Jim his newborn daughter, he counted her fingers and toes to make sure there were 10 of each. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u301/pinkprincess66613/baby%20pink/f46b.jpg Alecia was a healthy baby until her parents discovered she had asthma when she was about 3 weeks of age. Jim and Judy worried about Alecia’s asthma attacks, “it’s scary when your child is gasping for breath”. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u301/pinkprincess66613/baby%20pink/2801298.jpg Alecia grew up in Doylestown, a middle class suburb of Philadelphia, with her parents and her older brother, Jason. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u301/pinkprincess66613/baby%20pink/288296.jpg She grew very close to her father and looked up to him as a role model. Jim was a Vietnam veteran and was very active in the VVA (Vietnam Veterans of America). At Thanksgiving the VVA fed the homeless. Alecia would help out, serving people dinner and as she saw the gratefulness in their eyes, she gained a respect for life. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u301/pinkprincess66613/baby%20pink/3170.jpg Alecia was a very active child and would play soccer and did gymnastics. She also did dance and took vocal lessons.
