The feistiest, most fearless diva of her generation, Pink talks to Stephen Unwin about hot men, lesbian drama and gay dogs. What else is there?

First off, I hate to sound like a broken record, but Stupid Girls is genius.

Why thank you!

Did you get any feedback from Paris at all?

Not really, to be honest. There was probably some shouting between publicists, but I never heard anything. I think the girls understood – well some off them, anyway – that it wasn’t really about them. It was about a culture and a mentality.

You’ve said you’re trisexual – explain yourself.

I’ll try anything once!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever tried?

Oh God, where do I start! I could write a book!

Is there anything left to try?

Oh, there’s always something. I’m totally open to new experiences. Though compared to how I used to be, I’m pretty mellow these days.

‘Cause you’re a married woman now.

That’s right! I’ve calmed down over the years, to be honest. Once you’ve learnt about mortality, you kind of have to.

It’s a bugger, that mortality business.

Isn’t it!

So how is married life treating you?

Wonderful!

He’s a nice boy (motocross rider Carey Hart), isn’t he?

He is, he’s the best.

Are you getting to see much of him, ‘cause both of you are touring?

We try to meet up as often as we can in random hotel rooms. But it’s been like that for five years. I don’t think we’re the kind of couple that could wake up together every morning. That would freak us out. We’re gypsies!

See I never had you as the settling sown type in the first place.

Well, I’ve finally found a boy who loves me for who I am. And he’s f***ing gorgeous. I want to make babies with him!

Honey, we all want to make babies with him!

(Laughs) Though I’m not going to be doing it anytime soon. That sort of thing is a long way away, believe me!

And you’ve partaken of lesbian in the past,

Yeah.

Is that off limits now you’re married?

Well, it depends. But I’m definitely a committed woman.

What is your idea of committed? You can be committed in the mind and do what the hell you want with your body.

Well you know, I used to feel that way, but I’m going to try this other way for a while, see how it works out. So far, so good!

How does he feel about you fancying other women? Does he get off on it?

See, I don’t like that sort of thing. It’s not a show. And Carey’s not one of those guys either. He’s not like, ‘Oh baby, I want to watch you making out with another woman!’ He’s a very feeling and open-minded and understanding guy. I think he’d be more jealous than supportive, in a freaky way.

But sometimes jealousy can be good for spicing things up.

(Laughs) Well yeah, definitely. But not in this one, not right now.

Do you ever check out other girls together?

Oh, yeah! And then I’ll see a hot guy and go, ‘Oh, that boy is so cute!’ and he just looks at me like he’s going to hit me.

We’re loving the work you’re doing with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) by the way.

Thank you! I’m certainly not afraid to speak my mind. I just want to inform people, and I like everything they do. Some people are just like, ‘Oh, they’re just sensationalists’, but I’m like, ‘You know what, they get things done!’ I have certain boundaries, but honestly, when it comes to helping animals – and it may sound like a corny B movie – I just would do anything. They can’t speak for themselves. Most of my energy goes on working with PETA. That and sorting my own $h!t out!

What $h!t have you got going on?

Oh, I’m just human! Trying to work out that thing called life.

What do you think of Paris Hilton’s album?

Honestly, I’ve not heard it. But Scott Storch – her producer – is a friend of mine, and I think that anything he does is probably going to be amazing.

Is it true you fancy opening up a strip joint?

Nah, that’s just a rumour. Though I have been to a few strip joints in my time. I’ve done a bit of pole dancing in my time as well.

We like a good pole dance.

Me too! And some of it is actually art.

Tell me about this film you’ve just shot – Catacombs.

Oh, I like how you said that!

Catacombs.

It sounds really cool when you say it. Anyway, yeah! It’s a f***ing scary movie.

How scary on a scale of 1-10.

Well, for me it’s up there - a ten! But what makes it really scary is that it’s psychological, and not just the straightforward slasher. Its based on a true story of the catacombs underneath Paris, and for the last 30 years or so there have been illegal raves going on there, but the cops have never been able to catch the people behind them.

They’re probably too busy joining in.

Yeah! They are pretty amazing. And my character is dating one of the people behind them. So I invite my sister over from the States, then things go wrong and it gets pretty f***ed up! One of the things I like about the film is that it shows how cruel siblings can be – I’ve got an older brother, so I know!

Didn’t he steal your girlfriend off you when you were 13?

Yeah, he did!

Are you still scarred by experience?

(Laughs) Nah, I’ve forgiven him.

Was it a girlfriend in the biblical sense? Were there fingers in orifices?

No! It was like any relationship – or most relationships – when you’re 13. We just held hands and kissed and went out together. It was all very sweet.

We love a lesbian.

Me too, but believe me, there’s drama there! But drama’s good – keeps you going.

What else is keeping you going?

Gnarls Barkley, I love. Inked – my husband’s reality show – that I’m obsessed with, and my bulldog Elvis. Who is actually gay.

Do tell!

He only interacts with gay men. And he’s a humper.

Takes after his mum.

(Laughs) He really does!
