Kopecek NF to be public?

A spokesperson for the Kopecek internal selection committee has hinted that the selection for next month's contest may be partially public, saying, "We have many choices in mind; we think that the best result may come from a combination of having others knock off the chaff for us with us deciding the end result". A few names have emerged ahead of next month's contest, with German/Greek starlet LaFee, Ukrainian pop goddess Ruslana and Irish flopstar Samantha Mumba all in the frame.

Already? :o Ok then.....

The Dalisskian Daily

A well done must be said to the Corrs who have done Dalisska proud in our debut.

But now things get serious, as before a national final will occur sometime near the end of may. It is rumoured that it will include less songs then our first national final. Talking to the minister for Song selection he said "Yes we have a few in mind, The Corrs were a rather safe choice but you can be assured our next entry will be alot more risky.

You all have newspapers :o I should start to work more for my country  :P

This is essentially a GR for the reactions to BJSC 6 and the preparations for BJSC 7...and BJSC 7 itself of course! :P

The Moon

After Holly Valance finished shockingly high in 8th place in BJSC 6, FSR Farahtyn are allready planning the country's entry into the BJSC 7. Following Holly's sucsess after allegedly being a last minuet choice, reports from Song Selection HQ are starting to suggest Holly was always going to reprsent the country, and the list of S Club 8, Jesse McCartny and Sophie Ellis-Bextor was just used to throw the masses and allow the country to be one of the last to officaly announce its particpant.

Rumours have allready started circulating as to who will represent the country in BJSC 7. Rachel Stevens, who was in the running to represent the country at BJSC 2 but was pipped to the post by Aly & AJ, is one of the many names suggested to be in the running for representing Faratyn in BJSC 7. Other names said to be in the running include Daniel Powter, Belinda Carlisle, Sandi Thom, Emma Bunton and Robin Beck. Song Selection HQ is expected to make an annoucment towards the end of May.

Allecian Times

rumours are allready spreading that a former BJSC participant will be representing Allecian.

Allecian can also reveal that the singer is very popular on buzjack and has a forum to herself

The Sunday Dalisska

Minister for song selection has denounced previous rumours that there would be less participants in the next Dalisska national final. In fact there will be more, a total of 10 acts will participate in the Dalisska national final.

Kopecevizja leak!

A leak from within the Kopecek internal selection committee has revealed that the following artists are all under consideration for next month's contest:

LaFee - Heul Doch

Ruslana/T-Pain - Moon of Dreams

Hilary Duff - With Love

Samantha Mumba - Gotta Tell You

Samantha Mumba - Always Come Back To Your Love

Rachel Stevens - I Said Never Again (But Here We Are)

Nik P - Einen Stern (...der deinen Namen trägt)

Duffy - Distant Dreamer

Sam Sparro - Too Many Questions

Janet Jackson - 2Nite

Prince - Black Sweat

Sugababes - My Love is Pink

With no details released officially as of yet, the Kopecek media are being relatively cautious about such information, but many leading pundits have started to review the songs and their possible chances for entry in what looks to be the most competitive NF thus far.

Stevenson positive after Herzebanian debut

Herzebanian singer-songwriter Laura Stevenson is looking positive after her song "Down" finished 17th in the Buzzjack Song Contest. "Alot of people have been saying what a disappointing result it is, but the way I see it, I got 41 points, and they've obviously come from somewhere. I'd like to thank Quotosibb, FSR Farahtyn, and FSR Rontvia in particular for their sets of 8 points. That means entire countries loved my song, which is just mind-boggling for me. I never dreamed it would be possible for my music to reach out to so many people."

On the winner, Beverley Knight, Stevenson had to say "I am so happy for her. I made no secret before the Contest that I was behind her all the way, as we've been friends for a while since performing together. I'm glad the Herzebanian public have made up for their support of Diggy and Cussons by giving 12 points to Beverley!"

Meanwhile, HbTV are very happy with the result. "We've put Herzebania on the map, and we've shown what great music we can produce, which is always what we set out to do."

"Of course we'll be back next time," said the head of delegation, "and I can't say too much, but we are going to be in it to win it, and we've got somebody very special lined up to sing for us. Watch this space."

Camtorian Veiw

With another non English speaking band flopping for Camtoro at last nights BJSC 6 the countrys president hopes to find a English sung song for next months

contest. Speaking after the event last night where he saw his country finish in last place he said " Yes we are unhappy, Yes we will be back next month but next time it WILL be a English spoken artist".. Clearly showing his veiws about his country's choice in the last two contest.

Simmondaily

Reports just in after hearing Kelly Llorenna's finishing position in BJSC#6, residents of Simmondly have torched her home with her inside of it and shes, well dead, her funeral is tba. Simmondly would like congratulate the winner and is ecstatic over Beverley Knight getting some recognition

Rumoured artists to be our next representative include Kat DeLuna, Robyn & Estelle.

Ugh, why do the Simmondlese always blame the performers? :smoke::kink:

LOL :arrr: cause none of them have reached top 10 yet  must be my bad picking :(

Maybe you should explore the obscure? :o

True, I'm gonna try a different approach this time and go for an album track. ^_^ Might work.

18th in our first competition, 11th in BJSC 6, I think 4th is a good target for BJSC 7 for KoS

A good country never blames his songs

A good country never blames his songs

Oh you should come to Simmondly if an artist doesn't go top 10 they receive a death penatly :smoke:

Beverley Knight celebrates

Beverley Knight has shocked everyone by coming out on top of BJSC. The Quotosibb entrant was "over the moon" to have won. QTV caught up with her "I'm just so shocked that I won the contest. I was sure that I'd be near the bottom end of the table, I thought I'd be out if there was a semi-final so this is just huge. I'd like to thank everyone that voted for me, I really appreciate it."

Black Butta came first with 114 points, the joint highest score so far in BJSC history. She makes Quotosibb the second country to win with it's debut song, after Mdice who won the first ever BJSC. The song is expected to be #1 in a few countries over the continent after this stint in the BJSC.

All focus will now be on Quotosibb after this win as BJSC 7 will be hosted in Siobah, the capital. Many people are wondering who will be selected to represent them after the debut did so well, the question is will they be able to follow this up successfully? or will they have the opposite luck of this year's hosts Eledan who came last place in their debut and first in their second?

Rumoured entrants are said to be Estelle, India.Arie and Maria Lawson, who lost out to Beverley in BJSC 6 at the internal selection stage. This time there will be seven artists competing for the chance to represent Quotosibb with four being voted out by the public and the entrant being picked internally out of the final three.
