K, so here I am, completely ignorant little member very out-of-my-depth in the Eurovision forum having only heard a maximum of three ESC entries thus far. Maybe not the best candidate for host of this contest but let's give it a go.

 

For those of you who don't know, I've done a little research and the BuzzJack Eurovision Song Contest is (apparently) a little contest where the people of BuzzJack get to vote on this year's entries to the Great Contest. We will start with the semis! (In a while) links to the semi final songs will appear below so you can have yourselves a little listen before VOTING. As in the Eurovision, you may rank each of your ten favorite songs from either semis with 12 points for your favorite, 10 for second, 8 for third, 7 for fourth right down to 1 single point for your tenth favorite song. Send me your votes for both semis via PM. Voting for the semis closes Monday 11th May 6PM BST.

 

Once a few of you have sent me your votes, I'll get my calculator out and total up all the points to give us the 25 finalists (the 10 highest scoring songs in each semi final and the five auto-qualifiers). This year the five auto-qualifiers are:

It was meant to be 19 in each, but Georgia got dropped :( Can we be allowed to vote for Georgia please? :)

Deadline I'm not sure on yet as I don't know how it's worked in previous years so try and send your votes ASAP

 

Not sure if it's in fair to enter Georgia into this - What do other people think about this?

 

This is where me severe lack of any ESC 2009 knowledge will prove to be my downfall :wacko:

I don't think we should allow Georgia in this, they've been disqualified from the actual contest so they should be here as well, imo.

I think I'm going to sleep on it. The rehearsals I have seen have really changed my views on some songs.

Georgia will not be allowed unfortunately as that would create a result far too unrealistic - well, possibly :heehee: Anyway, where possible vote under BJSC country names, although non-BJSC people are free to vote! Voting for the semi-final would be good to end at approx Monday 11th May afternoon, with the results and final thread opened that evening, and results for the final on the Friday night. Does that fit for you Tom? :o

Great, I don't care really, I'm just glad it's not tomorrow or something!

Yeah Monday will be absolutely fine, I'm not 100% sure how long I'll be around for on Friday night but I'm sure we'll be able to cobble a results show together before I leave ^_^

lots of votes so far, once again it's very strange to be looking at results without actually knowing what all the songs sound like but I'm sure there are a few shocks in the voting.... then again maybe it's all very predictable, who knows? :unsure:
