I heard the song from Ordinary Boys on GMTV abd have to agree, it was rather boring sounding, expected different from them.

Val, I love the song Pictures, it has such a great beat to it, cant stop playing the snippet I got. Really wish they make that one a single. :dance:

I also just watched the Maria program and thought like you did, that is how it should have been done. But then BBC1 was behind it, and wanted Maria to be shown as a success. I am afraid that probably ITV wanted the angle on Gareth having had success and now done nothing, which of course is not true. Gareth written about 100 new songs, worked very hard on his speech and done his instructing. By the way the thing he said about being successful in 10 years was done in joke, like the pantomime thing. He actually sounded quite nervous to me, and the way he seemed aware that there is definitely no guarantee he will have success again showed that I think. If 19 had all the say in this program, then I would be worried too. I am thinking maybe they let have ITV their angle as long as they brought in some of the music and let have Gareth the good time slot? :( I just hope that they will get the promotion of the music right, and I am pleased to see lots of people quite liked the bits they heard. :D

Gareth said he likes those kind of clothes, and that he already wears similar when going out now. He has his own style, and knows what he likes, and with the cuttings made sure, his wishes will be taken into consideration. It looks like the program helped the sales of his former album on Amazon. What My Heart Wants To Say was 24978th in Amazon's music chart 4 hours before the doc was shown on tv and is now 2111th. Go Your Own Way was 34602nd in the amazon music chart and is now 752nd.

I know, it almost looks like they did not really want to promote his music on the show, just show him and put a few things straight. I do hope that we will be able to see the gig, they filmed after all, one day. :D Happy x-mas everyone. :dance:

You, me and lots of others think the same, it semed the program wanted to protray him as a fallen idol, which of course is rubbish. We all also had hoped they would show more of the music, they could have made it so much better. But all in all, he came across as a lovely young man, in a what sounded like a serious relationship with Suzanne, who at last can do the music he is passionate about. :D I cant wait for the album now, Gareth talkes of having done the photos for the album already on his MySpace, so hopefully not too much longer to wait until he promotes, and we can hear the songs in full.

Oh wow, thanks for telling us. They only in passing mentioned on the program about him having been signed now. :D I was dissapointed they did not show more of the music, having been to the gig, I know that lots of the songs are upbeat, and even some of the slower starting ones go fast and rocky in the chorus. What they did show does not reflect that at all. :(

I love the music, pity they did not show more of it, but I suppose they just wanted to give a little taster of it. Gareth is looking good, and sounding brilliant. :cheer:

Kelly you could say I am one of his old fans, and I have heard the songs (well 8 of them), and even though they are totally different to his former music, they are fantastic and I loved each and every one of them. Gareth voice is still brilliant, but a lot stronger, and the songs all have a real strong melody to them. Which I love in a song. They said in my TV paper that they show him also in the studio, and of course they filmed the gig, and will show at least part of the music. :cheer:

Feel the fever from what people who seen it said, it seems very good. :cheer: Kelly the show is on tonight on ITV1 at 7.30pm, and is repeated on ITV2 Wed morning 1.30am. :D

This morning on Sky News Neil Shaun said how this Doc gives a real insight into reality TV,how everyone loves you at first then loses interest,He said Gareth was the first casualty of reality programme but by his own admission in the doc it was his own fault. The presenter asked if it was an honest doc. NS said he had seen it and "yes" definately it was. NS said Gareth was only a boy of 17 he's now 22 and about to make a comeback,it will be hard but who knows. He also said this Doc was riveting and must be viewed. :cheer:

Thanks to everyone who is watching/taping the Gareth program. :D Have you seen the trailer? Suzanne is saying how hard it was for Gareth not to perform the last 3 years. I think its nice they include her in the program, she is after all part of his life. On the gig he said the song Changes is for a special someone (and it meant a lot to him) and we should listen to the lyrics (not that I remember any, lol), we think its aimed at Suzanne. :D

From that list my first choice would be Sounds of the Underground, great song. :D
